Marcus Aurelius was born on the 26th of April, 121 AD in Rome, Italy. He was a Roman Emperor from 161 to 180 AD. Besides being a successful leader he was also known for his thoughts on philosophy. He penned these writings, named Meditations on stoic philosophy and is known more for them than anything else today. He truly attempted to live his philosophy. These are his private thoughts on his daily life, philosophical musings, stoic beliefs, every day guidance and his self-improvement hacks.
