well I am listening to this series because I am a gamer. the premis of the story is cool.... the hero...Matt is annoying and unbelievable. you are supposed to believe the guy is pure of heart, accepting of all tough and scarry.. but he isn't. There is a made up conflict with Matt and Emma. but for the life of me the "outrage" from Matt is forced and really unbelievable. It's a made up conflicts but that appears forced into the story line more then anything else. The reasons provided by the author are weak. The varolious story lines are predictable... I go between enjoying the story to nearly deleting it.. and good god the "sex scenes" are infantile and immature. Those are easy to skip. Clearly added for the pre-teems reading this series, but more annoying then anything else. The attempt to make Matt a likeable person failed and I keep hoping he dies.
