It was also a sign to many that teens could still become obsessed with books—and not just obsessed, but obsessed on a widespread, global level. But after Twilight came to an end, many younger listeners (and the adults they grew into) were left wondering what next series could fill the void. Luckily, a plethora of authors stepped up with content sure to satisfy any Twilight fan’s thirst for a new listen.

I can definitely see what Sarah j Maas likes these books. You can see where she was inspired for her own series. Definitely worth a read if you liked crescent city

A paranormal romance full of adventure, ANGEL’S BLOOD is the first book in a long-running series that follows vampire hunter Elena Devereaux as she takes on a dangerous case, as ordered by the sexy and ruthless archangel Raphael.

Elena is a fun, sassy character who does not want to be pushed around and has no qualms about speaking her mind. She was likeable, even if I didn’t quite agree with some of her choices. Raphael is as deadly with his enemies as he is smitten with Elena. I thought their romance moved a little quickly, though the banter was pretty fun.

Most of the world-building served the plot, as required, though I would have liked a little more depth. The actual plot got fairly gruesome at some points, which somewhat jarred with the tone.

As surprising as the ending was, I thought it came a little out of left-field and wasn’t given the weight it needed. That could be something explored in future books, and this one is fun enough for me to read more of the series.

I kind of only half listened to this. I had a hard time getting into it but the second half was better. Did not love these two characters together. He’s really awful but she can’t help but fall in love is not a trope I enjoy.

I’m absolutely shocked how much I feel deep into this world with such vivid descriptions of the characters you feel like you can truly see them. The story just sucked me right in!
The romance, the action & adventure, this book had it all! I can’t wait to start the next book!

I am so disappointed. Loved the sound of the book. Didn't expect a book about angels and a vampire hunter would have every other word be about sex. I made the mistake of downloading all books by this author. Will now have to go in and remove all of them.

I tried to listen to it, but I couldn't. It is like a porno book with some action and the language that brings you in the world of prostitution. There is no way to listen to something like this.

This book was OK. There was too little depth to the characters for me. I expected more based on some reviews. This is not a series that I will continue with.
