Right now reading that you're probably thinking that's a marketing gimmick, but it's not. Brian is 100% genuine in what he says and believes. I've followed Brian's work since the end of 2021 when a good friend recommended him to me. I really connected with what Brian was teaching and got all in on the Heroic Coach program and became a founding member of the Heroic app. I was also lucky enough to get an advance reader copy of Brian's book Areté: Activate Your Heroic Potential.
The book is designed to be read front to back so one can get an overview of the Heroic program and to be used as a reference book where one can jump back in to review certain topics. There are seven objectives to coincide with the seven objectives in the Heroic program, which are built around the Big 3 areas (Energy, Work and Love) where one needs to thrive to lead a fulfilling life:
1. Know The Ultimate Game
2. Forge Antifragile Confidence (This one is my personal favourite and where I saw the most benefit)
3. Optimize the Big 3
4. Make Today a Masterpiece Day
5. Master Yourself
6. Dominate the Fundamentals
7. Activate Your Superpower
As I've been following Brian's work for a couple of years, nothing was new for me here but I appreciated the refresher and I think it's a great way for those who don't know anything about Brian's work or Heroic to learn more about the program, the Heroic app and Heroic Coach so they can decide whether or not they're able to go all in. I hope this book brings more people to learn about Brian's work -- even if only one or two things that resonate with readers, the book is still worth the price.
