Publisher's Summary

Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update", before "Sarah Palin", Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV.

She has seen both of those dreams come true.

At last, Tina Fey's story can be told. From her youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live; from her passionately halfhearted pursuit of physical beauty to her life as a mother eating things off the floor; from her one-sided college romance to her nearly fatal honeymoon - from the beginning of this paragraph to this final sentence.

Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we've all suspected: you're no one until someone calls you bossy.

Includes special, never-before-solicited opinions on breastfeeding, princesses, Photoshop, the electoral process, and Italian rum cake!

Great

I needed some humor, instead of the usual serious stuff. So I mostly laughed my head off and it was goooood.

Not a bad book.

Very entertaining. I look forward to Tina's next book, when she can or may share more. To be honest, occasionally throughout the book I felt like maybe it was just a promotion for 30 Rock. I truly enjoyed and appreciated Tina's depiction of her father. Totally worth the listen. Please write more, Tina.

Hilarious and Sarcastic

I'm a big Tina Fey fan, rummaging around her brain was a blast. Loved the feminism, and the humble appearance she gives.

Like Tina Fey's comedy? You will love this!

I have loved so many of the works that Tina Fey has been involved in. This book was a great insight to one of the best comedy writers of our time (in my opinion) and how she got here. The book also has some funny and insightful looks on life as well as some great life tips. If you are a fan of Ms. Fey's work, you will notice so many similarities between her life and the various projects she has worked on/created (30 Rock, Mean Girls, SNL, etc.). It's similar to the sense of gratification you get when you notice an "Easter Egg" in a movie or fictional novel. There is a lot of content that focuses around feminism, and is done in a way that is very tasteful and also hilarious. The reading performance is great as it is done by Ms. Fey herself and is well paced. The only constructive criticism I have is on the technical side. There are some cuts in the audio that are really noticeable, like it was cut too early, but you still hear the word she is saying, just trimmed a little tight. Overall it has made me appreciate Tina Fey's work even more than I did and this may even be the first audio book I listen to again, what a great time!

Entertaining

Tina tells her story well. I learned a few things about career, motherhood and being a woman, of which she helped normalize the craziness of 👍
