About this listen

What’s more embarrassing than a butt dial?
Butt dialing your boss....
And leaving a dirty voicemail when you’re, uhh…"thinking" about them.

Working as Ruslan Oryolov’s personal assistant is the job from hell.
After a long day spent tending to the billionaire’s every whim, I need some stress relief.

So when I get home that night, that’s exactly what I do.

Problem is, my thoughts are still stuck on the bosshole, who’s ruining my life.

That’s fine—because of all Ruslan’s many sins, being gorgeous might be the most dangerous.

Tonight, fantasies of him are just what I need to push me over the edge.

But when I look down at my phone squished next to me, there it is.

A voicemail for seven minutes and 32 seconds....

Sent to Ruslan Oryolov.

I panic and throw my phone across the room. But there is no undoing the damage done by my very vocal O.

So what can I do? My plan was to just avoid him and act like it never happened. Besides, no one that busy checks their voicemails, right?

But when he schedules a one-on-one meeting with me for exactly seven minutes and 32 seconds, one thing is for certain:

He.
Heard.
Everything.

Cruel Paradise is Book One of the Oryolov Bratva duet. Ruslan and Emma’s story concludes in Book Two, Cruel Promise.

Great voice performance

it was a good story. However, Emma is a pushover. I hated how she put up with the ass of a brother-in-law. I mean, come on, you can't keep making up excuses for shifty behavior especially when kids are involved. I just completely hated it and found myself skipping any parts with interactions with her and the brother-in-law.

Interesting series / held my attention

Interesting story with spice. Even though the mystery aspect of the book is somewhat predictable, it held my attention throughout. There is less spice in the second book but just as much chemistry and more tension & action which kept me enthralled. The characters are flawed and their antics left me, at times, quite frustrated but it’s one of the biggest reasons I kept rooting for them until the end. Do beware this may have triggers for some and the hero really is quite cruel at times but there is a journey of relational / emotional growth. Overall, I was quite impressed by the writing and the narration.

Really good story

This was a really good mafia/family romance. I liked the twists and turns. She was a bit frustrating but I definitely wanted to read the second book which was even better.
