Publisher's Summary

Four-time New York Times best-selling author Gary Vaynerchuk offers new lessons and inspiration drawn from the experiences of dozens of influencers and entrepreneurs who rejected the predictable corporate path in favor of pursuing their dreams by building thriving businesses and extraordinary personal brands.

In his 2009 international best seller Crush It, Gary insisted that a vibrant personal brand was crucial to entrepreneurial success. In Crushing It! Gary explains why that's even more true today, offering his unique perspective on what has changed and what principles remain timeless. He also shares stories from other entrepreneurs who have grown wealthier - and not just financially - than they ever imagined possible by following Crush It principles. The secret to their success (and Gary's) has everything to do with their understanding of the social media platforms and their willingness to do whatever it took to make these tools work to their utmost potential. That's what Crushing It! teaches listeners to do.

In this lively, practical, and inspiring audiobook, Gary dissects every current major social media platform so that anyone, from a plumber to a professional ice skater, will know exactly how to amplify his or her personal brand on each. He offers both theoretical and tactical advice on how to become the biggest thing on old standbys like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, and Snapchat; podcast platforms like Spotify, Soundcloud, iHeartRadio, and iTunes; and other emerging platforms such as Musical.ly. For those with more experience, Crushing It! illuminates some little-known nuances and provides innovative tips and clever tweaks proven to enhance more common tried-and-true strategies.

Crushing It! is a state-of-the-art guide to building your own path to professional and financial success, but it's not about getting rich. It's a blueprint to living life on your own terms.

Brutal

Didn't enjoy listening to buddy brag about how awesome he is and how hard it is to get to where he's at. There are very few helpful tips in this book. Poor content. It's honestly just stories of him and other people who started off in a bad spot, and ended up making it big with social media. No tools that they used, no steps to follow, no real info. Just stories that say "I listened to crush it and followed the steps and now I've made it big time. Blah blah"

Thia book is written by the authors massive ego. A serious waste of time.

Not enough detail

This audiobook left me wondering if he was reading the actual text or just talking about how crushing it can help. The testimonials were read in third person then would jump to first person, very annoying. In this audiobook there was no “how to” besides work 10+hours a day and be on social media and don’t have a social life. Although I appreciate the authors enthusiasm, I will be returning this book for something that provides more insight to social media and how to build a business.

Worth the money

If you're a fan of Gary V than you already know it's good. If you've never heard of Gary V, you're going to be a fan. I would recommend starting with his first book, Crush it, before moving onto this. You will get a lot more insight on the material here if you start there.

I Learned a lot about things that I thought I knew

Very great book, I have been using several different internet platforms but without much luck. I believe implementing some of the tools found in Gary Vee's Crush It I can use them a lot more efficiently and build up my followers. I have not been using the platforms to their fullest potential.

The narrators for the book kept me engaged in the audiobook.

It's ok.

The issue I have with this concept is that the author recommends fully committing yourself basically 24/7 for like 3-5 years. Sure I get it, if you want to be successful you need to go all in. But this is not a new message. You can literally make tons of money doing anything 24/7 for 3-5 years becoming the best of the best in whatever you have fully devoted yourself to. There just does not seem to be anything new here.

good ideas.

A good listen for upcoming people. Some good pointers to stick with it. It was a bit long for an established business owner.
