About this listen
She's my cherry pie. Tastes so good, make a grown man cry.
Who could forget the sexy "Cherry Pie" girl from hair metal band Warrant's infamous music video? Bobbie Brown became a bona fide vixen for her playful role as the object of lead singer Jani Lane's desires. With her windblown peroxide mane, seductive scarlet lips, and flirtatious curves, she epitomized every man's fantasy. But the wide-eyed Louisiana beauty queen's own dreams of making it big in Los Angeles were about to be derailed by her rock-and-roll lifestyle.
Ever wonder what it's like to f*** a rock star? After her tumultuous marriage to Jani imploded, and her engagement to fast-living Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee ended in a drug haze - followed by his marriage days later to Pamela Anderson - Bobbie decided it was time Hollywood's hottest bachelors got a taste of their own medicine. Step one: get high. Step two: get even. In a captivating, completely uncensored confessional, Bobbie explicitly recounts her encounters with some of the most famous men in Hollywood: Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Costner, Mark McGrath, Dave Navarro, Sebastian Bach, Ashley Hamilton, Rob Pilatus of Milli Vanilli, Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, Orgy's Jay Gordon, and many more. Who's got the most titanic dick in Tinseltown? Whose bedroom did Bobbie (literally) set on fire? No man was off limits as the fun-loving bombshell spiraled into excess, anger, and addiction. Bobbie survived the party - barely - and her riveting, cautionary comeback tale is filled with the wildest stories of sex, drugs, and rock and roll ever told.

Story
In 1984, at the age of 20, Duff McKagan left his native Seattle - partly to pursue music, but mainly to get away from a host of heroin overdoses then-decimating his closest group of friends in the local punk scene. In LA only a few weeks and still living in his car, he answered a want ad for a bass player placed by someone who identified himself only as "Slash." Soon after, the most dangerous band in the world was born. Guns N' Roses went on to sell more than 100 million albums worldwide.

Story
With over 70 million records sold, Black Sabbath, dubbed by Rolling Stone “the Beatles of heavy metal,” helped create the genre itself, with their distinctive heavy riffs, tuned down guitars, and apocalyptic lyrics. Bassist and primary lyricist Geezer Butler played a gigantic part in the band’s renown, from suggesting the band name to using his fascination with horror, religion, and the occult to compose the lyrics and build the foundation of heavy metal as we know it. In Into the Void, Butler tells his side of the story.

Gold Dust Woman gives "the gold standard of rock biographers" (the Boston Globe) his ideal topic: Nicks' work and life are equally sexy and interesting, and Davis delves deeply into each, unearthing fresh details from new, intimate interviews and interpreting them to present a rich new portrait of the star. Just as Nicks (and Lindsay Buckingham) gave Fleetwood Mac the "shot of adrenaline" they needed to become real rock stars - according to Christine McVie - Gold Dust Woman is vibrant with stories and with a life lived large and hard.

Wicked story!
I enjoyed this book so much! I've listened to it three times now! I'm sure I'll be listening to it again someday in the future! Bobbie's honesty and how she tells her story was so vivid, I almost felt I was standing next to her while I envisioned the moments in her life. Great way to pass the time while traveling! I wish there was another book out!

BOBBIE IS AN ABSOLUTE ANGEL
She’s become my favourite person thanks to this book, she speaks the truth. I follow her now religiously, & she also turned me back to god because she is now a devout Christian. Its hard to not be obsessed with this book and her storytelling is so addictive. I’ve listened to this book and her other one more times than I can count. 🍒 I’m excited for her next one!!!

Raw, Raunchy Revealing!
Anyone who came of age in the 80's , wants the inside scoop on major Rock Stars and just wants a great read, this is for you. I love how Bobbi just refuses to pull any punches, that girl just leans into the curve and takes you on a wild ride, her life. If you are straight laced, be warned, this is the real thing...in technicolor! Not for the faint of heart! Thanks Bobbie Brown for making it through it all and live to tell all!

Bobby, role model
I loved this book, it was not what I expected. But, it was so much more. from childhood pain, teenage angst, broken hearts and promises. the struggle to live through Hollywood. Bobby brown, tells the story in her own way, honest, heartfelt and intense.

Unknown Sunset strips..
Hi, my name is Susan. Thank you for sharing your journey that us small town girls could only imagine. Yet, in some ways our lives are so simmular. The bands we followed were not as famous, but, the stories are very simular. Thank you for reminding me of my great memories and sharing your struggles. Greatful to be some of the surviving Babd-Aids of our time. whether famous bands or not. 🦋

Raw and honest
So sad to see what Hollywood can do to people, lure them in and spit them out. This was one hell of a story, and for once, without any self pity. Just raw, honest and authentic.
