great book

Had fairly low expectations but this short and light read was more captivating and entertaining than I expected. Erika is refreshing in her honesty and she’s much more of a sweet and innocent woman albeit strong willed one than many might think. Favorite part was definitely her voice delivering the book. It’s fantastic! I’m a “housewives” fan and she hasn’t really been a favorite for me because she can come across as a bit of a know it all or “better than”? This book has totally changed my opinion of her though, not that Erika Jayne would give a f*ck!!! Lol I def recommend this book - she kept me company during two long hikes!!!

The book was light hearted and quick witted, just like the Erika her fans know and love. Insightful as well, the book covers her upbringing and how she established herself as the star (and gay icon that she is)

Light and fun, exactly what we need

I really enjoyed this book and realized it finally around the 9th chapter that I'm not so different from Erika. She also narrates which conveys her raw emotions, and you can really get a good idea of her tones and feeling while she reads passages of her own written work. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I actually enjoyed listening to this audiobook.

EDIT: Seems we are actually quite different from Erika - considering I wouldn't swindle money from orphans and widows. Wish I could return this book now. It was good at the time, but certainly doesn't age well.

Erika's 'cause no harm, but take no shit,' attitude was on full display in the best way possible through out this book.
Her strength, gratitude, and loving soul captures you in this biography.
I highly recommend!

Im a fan prior to Pretty Mess the book, but this just put me over the top! She's unapolagetic and has ALWAYS been a Force to be reckoned with, nothing phoney about her, if you like her you will LOVE her after this book!
