Publisher's Summary

Bowhunter and ultramarathoner Cameron Hanes narrates his audiobook with guest appearances from Joe Rogan and David Goggins. Listen in to push beyond your physical limits and improve yourself by following Hanes's lifelong philosophies and disciplines.

“It’s all mental.”

I say this all the time, and it’s true.

If you believe you can do it, you can.

We all have virtually limitless potential.

Our bodies are capable of so much more than what we ask of them.

Take off the mental handcuffs, get out there, and start on your way today.

What is your passion? You can become better at it.

Committing yourself to fitness only fuels your beliefs.

You gotta believe to achieve.

Cameron Hanes discovered his true passion for bowhunting when he was twenty. Inspired by the physical challenges of stalking elk in the Oregon wilderness—traversing mountainous terrain, braving erratic weather, and evading his quarry’s even more dangerous predators—he began an ever-evolving journey of self-improvement. To become the best bowhunter of wild elk, to the caliber he believed he could be, Cam realized he would need more than archery skills. He would need the stamina and strength that could only come from an athletic training regimen of long-distance running and heavy-weight lifting. And every day for more than thirty years, Cam has put in the work, building miles and muscles, pushing through pain with a single-minded focus on the only goal worth having—besting himself time and again.

Part memoir, part motivational manifesto, Endure reveals how Cam—a self-professed average guy—put himself through the paces to live the life of an expert bowhunter, respected writer, and family man. With discipline, sacrifice, resilience, a hard work ethic, and a belief in his own capabilities, Cam not only accomplished his dreams but continues to surpass them. There is no secret to his success except relentless determination and loyal dedication to his own self-worth.

If Cam can do it, we all can. Everyone has what it takes to endure adversity so we can rise above average, be the best we can be, and enjoy living life to the fullest.

I went through phases during this one!...

Joe Rogan did the intro and said Cameron is one of his best friends? And David Goggins did the outro?! Yes, I will obviously listen to this book.

I didn't know who Cameron Hanes was because I have never had an interest in hunting. Prior to listening to this with an open mind, I didn't have any distinction in my mind between ethical hunting, hunting for fun, and factory meat to table.

I take for granted where all of my food comes from, especially the meat.

I started this book because I like to learn as much as I can about personal development. I didn't realize I was about to gain a whole new perspective into the world of ethical bow hunting, 100 mile runs, and how to handle the world when you don't fit into it. That was a fun surprise!

All in all, very cool and would recommend!

To be honest though, if you're vegan I wouldn't recommend it... unless you're an open minded person in general.

I appreciate hearing about the grind and this type of work ethic from someone who doesn't seem to have a huge ego about himself. I like hearing about the struggle. I don't want to hear how easy it is for someone to grind all day lol it's such bullshit

Cheers!
-Monica

Passion +Hard Work = Success

One of my best books I’ve read in a while, I loved all the hunting stories and how Cameron tied everything into his hard work and perseverance and really hammered on the fact that hard work and passion is all you need to make your dreams happen.

I also took away from this the importance of having real strong friendships and bonds especially in a hunting context , doing it alone can make it real challenging and sometimes frightening.

This book is so raw and real , anyone looking for a exciting and provocative read has come to the right spot !

Stay hard & Keep hammering

Truly Inspiring

Cam Hanes shows you what a person can accomplish when they really put your mind to it. You don’t need to be a hunter or a runner to get the message he’s sharing with this book. Love to hear it read by the author as well. Real, raw inspiration for anyone.

Awful.

Despite far as one of the worst books ever. Cliché after cliché with no real insight other than superficial comes nowhere close to David Goggins books. Writing is a poor quality. Not to diminish this man’s accomplishments but if I want to read about his accomplishments, it wouldn’t take me eight hours.

Great story but hunting is a luxury, not a burden

He tells this story as if he was struggling, while leaving his responsibilities behind and hunting, weeks on end. Yes, you are correct, if we all ignore our families/responsibilities and go do what we love the most, we will be great at it...
that being said, I will be trying to use his discipline as motivation in my life

Garbage

Don’t waste your time. There is no substance and nothing to be gained from listening to this pretentious writing also read in an annoying tone that’s meant to sound deep.

Misleading

It should be more clear that this is an auto- biography, and not solely about self improvement and hard work.

No substance in his writing

There was no substance to his stories and I gained nothing from the 75% of the book I listened to. I couldn’t take any more of his low rent David Goggins-esk whining about “haters”.

Not worth the time

Struggled to get through it. Mostly just Cam Hanes talking about the same stuff over and over. Could have been a better audiobook if read by someone else and the book needed more direction, felt like it lacked purpose.

Monotonous

This book is a poor man's version of Can't Hurt Me, by David Goggins. As others have pointed out, it's a poorly written autobiography where the author practically repeats the same thing every 15 minutes for 7 hours.

A buffet of knowledge bombs!

I expected it to be good, but is was AMAZING!!!! I listened to it all with the first 48 hours of buying it. I love that the reader/author was/is a steadfast no nonsense model of a human. I hope everyone else enjoys this book as much as I did!

Learn to never quit!

A broken neck can't stop me. I've listened to this book 4 times now and it's really helping me to dig deep. There have been times I've wanted to quit but a quick listen to one of the chapters gets me back on track. Thank you Mr. Hanes. Give it a listen and reignite what lies dormant within you!

Good but redundant

A compelling and inspiring story, but very redundant at times. Yes, we get it, you did not say that running and lifting are necessary to bowhunt... nevertheless, I enjoyed Cam Hanes story.
