Play to Your Character
spoiler-ish. (Also sorry I speak in D&D)
It's been a nice switch up. Civis and npcs didnt just die as soon as the enemy looked at them and people tried; with actual degrees of success.
Also nice seeimg non-coms acctually get to use their skills. So often in military they're the escort mission, the walking talking door key or handwavium so soldiers just gotta soldier.
Chatacters survive on more than a good Dex roll and plot armor
I know military fiction why are you complaining about too much badass soldiers.
Because I can get action from any where with action, and there's pletty of that in games and movies. A book can do action and more; and this one did.

the book was great, its a whole new crazy thing to add to the halo story. The narrator was a bit bland when it came to voice changes but it didnt matter. My favorite part was the ending, the book was great but the end tied several different books together and it was very well done.

The best halo book since Fall of reach
I have read every single halo book and have been an avid fan since the fall of reach. This is by far the best book since said initial title. It has everything you want in a halo book. Very well written and by far the best narration to date of a halo book. Now if only they would make a game out of this book!

Narration not that great but story is worth it
Narration was flat and with as many characters as this book had a little more distinction would have been appreciated. The story adds to the Halo universe and is a fun read/listen for those interested.

meh
messy and contrived story that reads like female empowerment schlock. strange, unexplained Deus ex machina frequently appear and make the already messy story even harder to follow.
pros: it follows a spartan II team and a sangheili ally, which are the best characters in the canon
