Publisher's Summary

From the New York Times best-selling author of Sometimes I Lie.

“Stunning. Addictive. This book should not be missed!” (Samantha Downing)

“Deliciously dark...will have readers tearing through the pages.” (Mary Kubica)

“Gives Gone Girl a run for its money.... I couldn’t stop reading.” (Christina Dalcher)

There are two sides to every story: yours and mine, ours and theirs, his and hers. Which means someone is always lying.

When a woman is murdered in Blackdown, a quintessentially British village, newsreader Anna Andrews is reluctant to cover the case. Detective Jack Harper is suspicious of her involvement, until he becomes a suspect in his own murder investigation.

Someone isn’t telling the truth, and some secrets are worth killing to keep.

His & Hers is a twisty, smart, psychological thriller. A gripping tale of suspense, told by expertly drawn narrators that will keep listeners guessing until the very end.

A Macmillan Audio production from Flatiron Books

"[A] cunningly constructed psychological thriller.... This is a masterpiece of misdirection." (Publishers Weekly, starred review)

"Feeney offers a brilliant cat-and-mouse game...[a] volatile, tension- and thought-provoking mix." (Booklist)

What the critics say

"No one can plot - or write - a story like Alice Feeney. His & Hers is a stunning, addictive novel that makes you wonder who you can trust - if anyone. Captivating from beginning to end, this book should not be missed!" (Samantha Downing, best-selling author of My Lovely Wife)

"Feeney does it again! His & Hers is a twisty dual-narrative that gives Gone Girl a run for its money and leaves you wondering if you can trust anyone. I couldn't stop reading." (Christina Dalcher, best-selling author of Vox

The story was good the narration was not.

This book was narrated as if it was a play, instead of a novel. An overly dramatic reading distracts from the story. I almost stopped listening to this book, even though I was quite interested in the outcome of the mystery.

Twists and Turns Everywhere

From the first Chapter to the last, this book was twisting and turning.

The story is told from three POV; Anna Andrews; Jack Harper and the Killer. Each tells their version of events, but what is the whole truth. They all have secrets and some of those secrets are what bring the killer to task.

I couldn't stop listening to this story because I needed to find out who did it. Richard Armitage and Stephanie Racine were perfect in their roles.

P.S. I thought I knew who the killer was about a fourth of the way through the story......and I was right. It didn't stop me from listening because I needed to know why.

ON AND ON AND ON ...

Excellent narration kept this story well-paced. The plot at times, though, was unnecessarily convoluted and the ending dragged on interminably, well past the point of any interest by the listener. Not recommended.

Horrible people kill other horrible people.

I didn't really dislike it but...
1. I wild guessed who the killer was about half way through and was right.
2. Ending was far too saccharine for me but perhaps that was Ms. Feeney's intent.
3. All the loose threads were pulled together at the end. Sort of.
4. Audio presentation was rather good.

This was my first Alice Feeney novel and I'll probably download another one of her novels just as a tie-breaker.

Speechless

This is the best book I’ve ever read. Gripping, suspenseful, thought-provoking, and captivating. I couldn’t put it down. It’s a “must read”.

This one is just an absolute yes!

I found myself trying to find alone time from my family to finish this book. I was close to finishing it but I got scared and had to shut it off. This one has lots of possibilities for the killer and was quite enjoyable to listen to. The narrators did a fantastic job. I thoroughly loved everything about this book.

Don’t Do It

It was such a disappointment. Mostly the story though I found the male narrator monotonous too. First of all, it tried wayyyy to hard to confuse the reader so he or she wouldn’t predict the end, making it overly complicated. Like spaghetti but in a book. Second, so
implausible beyond what I personally can handle. I am shocked because if a book has 4.5 stars I ALWAYS at least like it. This one either is over my head or i don’t know! I literally kept waiting for the moment it took off. I kind of feel bad for writing this. I just don’t know how it got these great ratings!
