Publisher's Summary

"All good heroes are insane."

Was that really a joke? Jonathon Hunter hasn't the time to ponder the labels people try to put on him.

The war shifts from defensive to offensive. The stakes get higher, as the means to fight the aggressors finally become available. But has he risen too high? Or are the consequences of his own actions interfering with his judgement?

As fast as you move, the past is faster and always catches up with you when you least expect it. This is not a game, and being a hero has its own price tag.

Just where is the point, where you make, or break, the hero?

If Audible had a decent age rating with their books this would be rated Juvenile. (Not an insult, just the style of writing.)

Bottom Line, I’ll listen to the next one but it’s for a younger audience. See below for more of a rating:

WARNING, WARNING. Below will give some of the plot away, read on at your own peril.
The tone of the book:

Yay!
Has a fling with twins. Yay!
Has a fling with Twins friend! Yay!
His GF doesn’t know but that’s okay Yay!
Gets to be trillions ships owner Yay!
Becomes super duper Admiral fighting evil aliens. Yay!
My god even the narrator has a young voice.
There, that about sets the tone of the book without giving too much away.
Now there’s nothing wrong with this book. If there was a decent rating system for the type of listeners this would be rated juvenile.
If I was seventeen I’d love the book! I’m still listening to it, at my age it’s the kind of audiobook you can listen to while doing something else. So there we go, honest opinion from someone who’s old as dirt. The book isn’t aimed at my age.
