À propos de cet audio

The New York Times bestselling Queen of Twists is back with a psychological masterpiece that will leave you questioning everything you know about love, identity, and revenge. This program features multicast narration and is read by actor and Audie Award–winner Richard Armitage, actor Bel Powley, and actor/comedian Henry Rowley.

My Husband's Wife features sound design and special effects to enhance your listening enjoyment. Listen out for the ambient sounds of the seemingly quiet town of Hope Falls and the mysterious countdown from a London clinic claiming to predict Birdy’s death!

“Nonstop thrills! The best Feeney book yet!” —FREIDA MCFADDEN
“Propulsive, compulsive, addictive.” —LISA JEWELL

“This audiobook knocks it out of the park, thanks to its dynamic narration and evocative sound design that elicits the feel of an old-school radio drama. The layered audio elements, like the labored breaths of a character climbing a hill or the howling wind and crashing waves, draw listeners deep into the story’s world. These vivid soundscapes don’t just enhance the atmosphere—they transform the listening experience into something truly cinematic and unforgettable.” — Booklist (Starred Review)

“In Henry Rowley’s portrayal, Cornwall police officer Carter is dedicated but naïve...Bel Powley delivers [Birdy] with confidence and wit. Richard Armitage makes Harrison sound truly frightening. Majestic descriptions of the seaside and outstanding sound effects provide some relief from the tension.” — Kirkus

Eden Fox, an artist on the brink of her big break, sets off for a run before her first exhibition. When she returns to the home she recently moved into, Spyglass, an enchanting old house in Hope Falls, nothing is as it should be. Her key doesn’t fit. A woman, eerily similar to her, answers the door. And her husband insists that the stranger is his wife.

One house. One husband. Two women. Someone is lying.

Six months earlier, a reclusive Londoner called Birdy, reeling from a life-changing diagnosis, inherits Spyglass. This unexpected gift from a long-lost grandmother brings her to the pretty seaside village of Hope Falls. But then Birdy stumbles upon a shadowy London clinic that claims to be able to predict a person's date of death, including her own. Secrets start to unravel, and as the line between truth and lies blurs, Birdy feels compelled to right some old wrongs.

My Husband’s Wife is a tangled web of deception, obsession, and mystery that will keep you guessing until the final minutes. Prepare yourself for the ultimate mind-bending marriage thriller and step inside Spyglass—if you dare—to experience a story where nothing is as it seems.

Editorial Review

Feeney strikes again!
I know when I hit play on a book by Alice Feeney, I’m in for a ride into an otherworldly kind of suspenseful story. I mean, shouldn’t it be, “My Ex-Husband’s Wife”? So, I went along for the ride into another interesting town with a cast of characters going about their lives. Except for ... nah, I’m not going to tell you. I’m still rewinding this book in my mind to find the clues I missed. When you find them, let me know. Hint: It’s not over till it’s over. —Yvonne D., Audible Editor

The 3 narrators for this latest Alice Feeney are all marvelous. The voices really suit the characters and Bel Powley especially does an admirable job of giving distinct voices to several female characters. However, as with His & Hers, Beautiful/Ugly and Rock, Paper, Scissors, I find some of the story - the 3 "wives", what happened to Gabriella and especially who "disappeared" Eden - beyond improbable and that diminished the quality of the story.

Great narrators, good story

Prose was not the best. Plot twist was good. One loose end. The audio performance was good, overall was solid but not the best book

Good audio performance

Great book!! Somewhat far fetched but twists and turns kept coming! There were a few revelations that I felt I should have figured out, but she writes so deceptively well that they won out over my guesses!

Got me again!
