I was so hooked, I didnt realize I binged the last 5 hours until it ended. This was definitely a slow but worthwhile burn. The MC is 10 years old for thr ENTIRE book, but he has the disposition of someone twice his age. The author is definitely not afraid of taking his time and building a STRONG foundation for the story, and that tells me he's got a good idea of where it's headed. And judging by the discription the MC has some growing to do before he fights gods and demons.If the sequel keeps this quality however then we could see the start of something special. I don't mind my MC's taking their time to build up their strength instead of triping over their dicks into some ungodly power up. But if your looking for action laced,chosen one/inner demon, infinite luck story look elsewhere.

The story is wonderful, only complaint is that the narrator is annoyingly breathy. Sounds like he’s lifting weights every phrase even when the narration doesn’t call for it. Makes the characters sound annoyingly pompous when they aren’t.

If you like a good cultivation fantasy and don’t mind lots of action with a in depth slow progression on mc’s cultivation path then you’ll love this

the narrators voice was fine but it got pretty grating after a while. The story left a lot of questions that I thought should have been addressed, but maybe they will come back to answer it in later books.

I wasn't a huge fan of the narrator. the story was good but not great.

If you don't mind a ridiculously slow pace and over explanation on every action then you will probably enjoy this book. The story and cultivation is fairly well done but the pacing just didn't do it for me. I scipped about 4ish hours while he was escaping the cave and then picked it up again and literally did not miss a single thing.

Also, I realize the Red doesn't know anything but I don't want to listen to 8 hours of people explaining basic stuff to him.

Not a terrible book and some people may enjoy but it was just not for me.
