Publisher's Summary
This is not a self-help book. It’s a wake-up call!
Can’t Hurt Me, David Goggins’ smash hit memoir, demonstrated how much untapped ability we all have but was merely an introduction to the power of the mind. In Never Finished, Goggins takes you inside his Mental Lab, where he developed the philosophy, psychology, and strategies that enabled him to learn that what he thought was his limit was only his beginning and that the quest for greatness is unending.
The stories and lessons in this raw, revealing, unflinching memoir offer the listener a blueprint they can use to climb from the bottom of the barrel into a whole new stratosphere that once seemed unattainable. Whether you feel off-course in life, are looking to maximize your potential or drain your soul to break through your so-called glass ceiling, this is the only book you will ever need.
An annotated edition of Never Finished, offering over three hours of bonus content featuring deeper insights and never-before-told stories shared by David. Not available in other formats.
What the critics say
"There are levels to mental strength, and the undisputed gold standard is my friend David Goggins. The combination of the superhuman spectacle of his accomplishments and the immense gravity of his words serves as one of the most potent motivational drugs that exist on God’s green earth. He’s a man who came from a humble and troubled childhood and, through the force of sheer will, forged himself into one of the hardest motherf--kers that’s ever lived. I believe there are people that are put here to elevate our expectations and redefine what’s possible for the rest of us, and David Goggins is the best example of that idea that I’ve ever come across in my life."—Joe Rogan

This is my #1 Listen
I've spent over 3,000 hours listening to audiobooks, close to 500 titles, and this book ranks top out of everything I have listened to. At the start, you say this isn't a self-help book, Goggins. And you're right. This book is fucking rocket fuel. It provides the recipe to jumpstart the internal engine of desire, steps to awaken the inner dog, and the simple process to maintain a life of achievement. Set audacious goals, do hard shit, rewire the mind, test boundaries and expand capability through repetition and mental grit, realize there is ALWAYS more in the tank, rinse and repeat.
Your story and the raw articulation of your experiences sent chills through my soul. You set an example that human limitation is simply a convenient excuse most of us are using to get out of testing our capabilities.
to anyone reading this review, get this book. Regardless of who you are, it will serve you. Stay hard.

This was in my recommended downloads, so I took a shot on it and used my credit. It has no applicable or actionable information in it; just a bunch of rants and messages to the effect of you just have to “suck it up and work hard” laden with expletives and random podcasts, I’ve learned nothing from it.

Goggins shows Gratitude to Dwayne Johnson?
I listened attentively for 11 hours and was inspired and damn impressed! Then at the very end Goggins thanks Joe Rogan and Dwayne Johnson who I like for their roles as entertainers. I do struggle with the Rock who has made hundreds of millions which would have never been possible without his impressive physique which everyone is questioning how he achieved that??? If Goggins is inspired by him then I question if Goggins is all natural or maybe has had some help with certain substances just like everyone is questioning the Rock. I would ask Goggins personally what makes the Rock so special to him? I would think it should be the other way around. I would love to meet Goggins one day as he is my personal hero!!! Thank you Goggins for everything you have done for me!!! Stay tough!!!

Disappointing Narration
I was fully expecting David to narrate this himself. Not only is it not his voice but the voice they used is super weak and completely contradictory to the books message. Difficult to get through and not engaging at all. Disappointed to say the least. I’d recommend just buying the physical copy and reading it yourself.

Why is this book interrupted with podcasts?
Did I buy the wrong one or something, the book seems OK... but the podcasts totally take away the benefits of a book. I want to read the well thought through, well presented, well edited good stuff. I don't want to listen to Joe Rogan and David Goggins ramble on about this or that. This is the worst format of an audiobook that I've encountered.

Goggins Is The Best, Not Sure This Was Recorded Properly
Unlike Can’t Hurt Me, the reading of Never Finished seemed rushed, with Adam jumping into the next sentence in a way that removed you from the experience just a little bit. They likely only recorded a few sentences at a time, and then cut them together. It was distracting.
But the stories are amazing and the lessons plentiful. Goggins is truly uncommon.

He did it again!
Mr.Goggins changed my young life at 20 years old with his first book. Two years later I’m now an emt, left my home town/state and am applying to different police departments and have testing dates coming up within the month. I went from a sad child to a disciplined young man at 22 years old. Two years of routine exercise, no excuses, and mental toughness not only saved me but made me the person I always wished to be. Thank you Mr.Goggins.

Definitely not as good as the first book
David Goggins is without a doubt one of the baddest men to walk the earth! It’s what made the first book so unbelievably great. A true underdog story, in comparison this fell flat vs You Can’t Hurt Me.
It’s mostly about his Ultra career and the trials and tribulations of them grueling competitions. If you like that you’ll probably like this book, personally I have no interest in Ultra Racing and while I appreciate the sport and the mindset needed, it got very old three hours in. Then the book hammered it home for another eight hours.
I should of known when he’s literally running on the cover, that’s the entire book. All running related and instead of running on broken legs this time it’s on broken knees. I don’t mean that in a light way, you just expect that from the “savage” that is Goggins.
The book is titled “Never Finished,” it felt like that as well… it was never going to finish. A slog and a half, maybe David is putting calluses on our minds to get through this one?
Not a total loss, he has some great lines in here and the interview podcast with his mother might be worth the price of admission alone. Him not narrating the book when his name is listed first in the narrated by feels like a cheap shot. He dropped the ball, don’t list your name first when you did less then 5% of the narration.
I would personally pass and do not recommend this book, my time would of been better spent relistening to his first book, “You Can’t Hurt Me.”

No more bacon and eggs
David Goggins is exactly what I needed to get back to being dominant. This guy speaks the truth that you don’t want to hear.

Powerful!
Can't Hurt Me came to me in a really rough stretch in my life in 2019. This year there's been a lot of doubt creep back up. I feel like knocking down walls again after this first listen 😸 Thank you sir!

Gripping!
The best of the best. David Goggins did it again! This is the second evolution to his first one, Can't Hurt Me. A must read that will get you to find your inner Goggins.

Disappointed
People wanted to hear Goggins narrate his own book not this guy. Major disappointment! Goggins fumbled the ball here.

"we do not need talent we need to move forward"
I loved this book and the pocasts in between chapters. David Goggins shares his life and the discipline he's put in his life. If you are seeking extra motivation to move forward in your life, you need this book !

Even better than Can't Hurt Me !
I really loved Can't Hurt Me when I read it, but I found that some of its last chapters (eg the Ranger School section) were kinda redundant. But here, we've got a shining diamond. No redundancy, the ups and lows Goggins faces keep you on the edge, and the overall framework is more subtle than in the first book.
The exclusive content (the 'podcasts' at the end of each chapter and each evolution) is top notch. It's a real pleasure, and even a privilege, to spend time with David and Adam. Last but not least, the podcast with is mum is as touching as courageous.
A must read, and must listen to book.

Good
Big Goggins fan here. I've listened to his first book "Can't hurt me" so many times i cannot even count them. I read some reviews people said that this one isn't as good as his first.
In my view , this book is good. A good motivation , good practical advice (specially the mental lab one ) and good stories. I particularly enjoyed the MOAB and Florida races. I see this one more like a toolkit to learn from with really nice stories.
So i really recommend it as it is a great read and in my case i love to hear it in my bike rides.
It is not life changing as can't hurt me, but it is worth the money and time.

Life changer!
Goggins life's story and the way he continuously transcends his past trauma and demons are more than inspiring. The way the audio book is put together ( like in " Can't hurt me" as well) is so original and captivating. Just love it! ❤️

Pas necessaire apres can’t hurt me

I prefered Can't hurt me
I really loved Can't hurt me and I've been disappointed by this one which, for me, does not bring more value if you have read the first book. Still, the interim podcast format and narating are really good.
