There is only one problem with Joe Abercrombie novels combined with the voice talent of Steven Pacey, that is when your finished them and have to move on all other books become a disappointment.

Just Amazing

Mild spoileres ahead. To me, this really felt almost like a Blood Meridian x First Law mashup with lots of Western tropes - tracking bandits through the wild country, joining a pilgrim-like caravan, attacked my natives, lawless border-towns, revenge/retribution, etc. There are also some phenomenally badass Logen moments. As usual, the characters really drive the story. This was my last book by Abercrombie; I've read them all now. They were so good that I'm considering starting again at the beginning.

The last couple books I liked, but I didn’t find them to be anything special. This one on the other hand I enjoyed quite a bit. I definitely recommend it.
