I thought with so many novels with a similar atmosphere of progression through a game like interface to the world it would just be more of the same, instead I found myself pulled in and enjoying this story to the extent I have listened to it multiple times and check regularly to see if there is an update on the arrival of the next book.

like the other reviews I thought this would just be another quick read, but OMG was it great. I have come back and listened to it multiple times and check at least once a week to see if the second book is out.

I was a little hesitant about how the story started out. Though it felt like it came into its own early on. Time Travel tropes are hit or miss for me, and in this case it was enough of a hit that I would say it's worth giving it a shot!

solid story build up, likable main and supporting characters, MC has a bit of a no nonsense anti hero vibe but is a good guy. narration is always amazing by this pair.
