About this listen

The key to saving humanity—or dooming it—is in the hands of the enemy.

Veteran mech operator Sergeant Major Shaw spent his career fighting huge monsters known as Sentinels. He never expected that he would be piloting them.

But as a new war unfolds, Shaw finds himself and his team using this unorthodox technology in a desperate attempt to save the New World Republic from destruction. The Principality of the Seven Sons has control of an ancient Progenitor dreadnaught rumored to have the power to enslave and destroy empires. No one is safe.

Not even Shaw and his Deadmen.

The Principality has resurrected the worst of the Progenitor weapons, infecting entire planets with a bio-engineered disease called the Scourge. With the Scourge and the dreadnaught poised to destroy the NWR, the fate of mankind is dark.

There is only one hope for survival. One mission so dangerous, so impossible that only a single team is suited for it. The Deadmen.

Pacific Rim meets Starship Troopers in Scourge, the third book in the Deadmen’s War series.

The Deadmen's War series is now performed by Mark Boyett, narrator of the bestselling sci-fi series Undying Mercenaries.

super livre, l'histoire est très accrocheur, et j'ai bien hâte à la suite. Mark fais un excellent travail sur la narration ... mais plus de R.C.Bray... common (sad face)

But..... R.C. Bray!!!

A bit jarring with the narrator switch at first. The switch of voices for each character felt like a different experience then the first 2.

Overall the writing comes through again. Shaw really being the guy that's set up to make the biggest impact at all the pivotal moments ( which are done well ). Hope to see big moments from the rest of the dead men.

Voice change switch gives different feel butgood

mark ruins the book

Mark tried to hard to make this “his” version instead of trying to continue the vibe started by RC BRAY. Total let down by the narration. Tannaka was made to sound too Asian (stereotypical) and that left it seeming very tasteless. Cruise was waaaay off too seemed more like a country bumpkin.

Mark boyett butchered the character voices
