Finished the manhwa a while ago and I thought that I'd check the novel out while waiting for the anime adaptation (if the leaks are real).

The story is good, the voice actor did an amazing job but the script they gave that poor guy...

Like stated in other comments, the description of sounds in the novel were quite out of place. I felt like a child being read to. Saying that the ground was shaking followed by "RUMBLE" got kind of old after 4 chapters.

Hope that it's something that they fixed in book 2.

loved this series. bought all the books in paper back and audio. read at home and listen in the car. finished it twice now.

i liked it, and the reader does a good job at reading, but the sound effects were just awful. it would ruin my theatre of mind to be honest. it would of been ok if actual sound effects were added in production, but hearing a giant spider go *squeeeeek* just took me right out of the action.

very much enjoyed watching the Anime and the book did not disappoint.

The two are very close and the additional content in the book is nice to listen too.

This was my first Audible book. I just watched the Anime on CrunchyRoll and I liked it a lot. So, I searched the source material and found Manga and Light Novels.

I recently joined and received an Audible Promo Credit, and decided to put it to use.

I didn't realize I read the manga for this book a while ago. oops. the narrator could do female characters better. most the time I can't even tell it's a female. otherwise it's a decent story. basically dives right into action with the unlikely ( but obvious) hero.
won't buy the next book but that's because I already read way ahead.

hard part for me is distinguishing the characters with similar voices and unfamiliar names. since it's Korean names. get ready for OP MC!
