Publisher's Summary

The Underdark. A place of brooding darkness, where no shadows exist, and where Drizzt Do'Urden does not wish to go. The noble dark elf must return there, though, he must go back to find his friends in the gnome city of Blingdenstone, and on to Menzoberranzan, the city of drow. Only then can Drizzt discern what perils might reach out from that dark place to threaten his friends in Mithril Hall.

No better author and no better narrator.

This series is great. Unfortunately the narrator is so good that any author narrator for RA Salvatore's stories sounds terrible by comparison

Awesome!

What made the experience of listening to Starless Night the most enjoyable?

All Drizzt stories that happens in context of the drow city and in the under dark shine far above the surface tales of previous book! All books were very, very good, but the first 2 and this one are amazing, in the under dark the stories are totally awesome! I particularly enjoyed the Machiavelli politics and intrigues of the management of that dark city and its dark magic.

a freaking mazing book, well worth the listen.

R.A. Salvatore is a great writer who wraps 9ntp the story of Drizzt completely. I cannot imagine anybody else beside Victor Bevine voicing the deep and rich characters.

Cheap tropes and lazy writing ruined this book

I have enjoyed the Drizzt series of books, up until now. The writer must have been under pressure to produce this book quickly or on a time constraint, because he uses the laziest, most thoughtless and tired writing devices to simply reuse characters and repeat the same lines over and over and over again. I thought I would read the entire series of books, but this book makes me seriously doubt my willingness to commit my money to an author that doesn't respect the characters or his readers. Seriously annoyed at RA Salvatore and this book in particular.

My least favorite so far

I love the series but this one was painfully easy to guess what'd happen next. So much so that I might take a break to rekindle my love for the series
