This book was a bit of a disappointment for me. I’ve loved the entire Hel’s Ink series and all the characters, but I feel like Stevie and Brooks got a rushed, short and disjointed, almost novella length story- this felt like a rough outline that never got fleshed out. Overall this was just a let down because the characters had such potential and we’ve seen the build up through earlier books. It was nice to see some of the previous Hel’s Ink characters settled down, and Stevie’s grandma really stole the show, I just wish we got MORE of the main characters.
The duet narration was wonderful- Aaron Sherlock and Lucy Rivers did an excellent job.
