I recommend this classic to people young and old, especially for listening to during your more mindless tasks like cleaning or driving since it's very easy to follow the story and characters on their adventures. Even if you're old and wise, I'd recommend it to you, especially for it's beautiful and hopeful ending in the book "The Last Battle" which is made much better if you read all the other 6 books before it first. It's a fun, light read, but it helped me think of some very important things by its ending. In my top 100 favourite stories (all 7 books taken together) of all time.

The performances were excellent especially considering I was able to get the entire box set for one credit. That being said, the story wasn't amazing for an adult listener. The underlying allegory and theme of the story just felt like it lost a lot of the power behind it since it was so obvious. But this is to be expected given the presumed target audience.
