Ruined by narrators & music

The choice of narrators, jarring alternation between them, and hokey music absolutely ruined the experience of this audiobook. It's unfortunate because the subject matter and content is really good. I recommend buying the book in print or as an ebook.

Focus!

What this book really seems to be about is focus. Why to dream big, how to reverse engineer the actions you must take from years down the road to the same day, why you focus this way and how it organizes your life to not be so chaotic, how habit secretly behind what seems to look like discipline. This book alone can help you make quantum leaps in your life by just applying a few principles discussed! For self improvement, this book is definitely a must on the list whether it's your business or personal that you are looking to work on!

Good book

This kind of book is of the kind I need the most at the moment.
The main idea is to think of what is the one thing I can do now that will make other things either easier to do or unecessary.
With so many things competing for attention, I find this question essential to be able to continue progressing by taking better decisions for what we give our energy and attention to.
I really appreciated this book for this.

Repetitive and could be summed up easy

Some very repetitive writing and information. This book could have been very easily summarized in about 80% less pages. I found the ideas do lessons do make sense but I don’t like wasting my time when it is not needed.

Good ideas, but.. production poor.

What made the experience of listening to The ONE Thing the most enjoyable?

The narration sounded like he was trying to 'act' his way through an informational book. His intentions were clear; he wants to entertain us, but it detracted from the text, and ultimately annoyed me.

What did you like best about this story?

Simple ideas are usually the best ones.

How could the performance have been better?

Don't separate chapters with music. It's the same musical interlude 24 times. Please don't.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. The book contains valuable wisdom, but the production (narrator, music) annoyed me so much that I had to listen in stages.

Any additional comments?

Any audio book that includes graphics, graphs, figures etc, should come with a warning in the description. I've returned books before simply because I want to learn while listening, and would have bought the hard copy book if I need reference materials. "In figure nine, you'll see a blah blah blah..." This drives me crazy because, no, I DON'T see it.

Best towards the end. Overall a great book

It could have been short. Gets a little monotonous in the middle. The beggining is enlightening ofcourse. It gets really good and inspiring towards the end. I was considering not finishing the book in the middle. But really glad I finished it.

obligado

400 books down, this is 1 of the very best

It sounds simple, yet...Truly it's an incredibly powerful book.
You should buy it, read it, take notes, read it again and revise every year.

More than it seems

A lot of people rad recommended this book but I put of getting it for a long time because I assumed the whole idea could be summed up in one sentence. “Do one thing at a time for better focus and success”. That is way to vague to do this book justice. Full of useful gems of information. A must read for anyone running a business or just wanting to be more effective in general.

a good read

a very good listen, that's what I needed to focus more, there are great tips inside and it will certainly help you if you have a problem with execution. The only thing I didn't like is the shortness of the book.

Wonderful

So happy to have read this book, which present a simple a very effective way in getting to high places in our life. The key lesson is to thing big and walk though the path one step at the time. It’s also very important to mention here that in order to achieve extraordinary results in our lives, we need to take extraordinary action. In this book that extraordinary action is ignoring all the noise around us and going for the one thing, that one thing that by doing, everything else becomes easier or unnecessary.

Simple mais un brin répétitif

En bref l’idée est excellente applicable et bien illustrée, mais la formulation et la solution est répétée. C’est toutefois utile pour ceux qui veulent vraiment s’en imprégner.
