About this listen

Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them… when they stumble haphazardly into a foreign realm.

In a world where runes hold unimaginable power, mere mortal and gifted artisan Nate must harness arcane magic to navigate treacherous paths, reveal the hidden truths of his own past, and discover the workings of the illusive ‘System’.

No big deal.

Emboldened by only his penknife and a weirdly profound understanding of runic sorcery, Nate must uncover if the path he has been thrust upon may spare his earthly existence. After all, why only leave your mark on one world… when you might leave it on two?

MC is a little contradictory - can behave and talks maturely or childishly at different times (not consistent). While being immature matches his age of 18, I'm not a fan of this style at all. Another issue is the "best friend" relationship doesn't sound natural at all. It's like the the author is forcing it to be platonic to prove some point.
Other than this, the world-building, skills and progression are pretty exicting.

good start

At the time of writting this, ive listened up to book 4. Mc is clever in his use of abilities, obviously he has his teenage flaws but that makes it feel more real.My biggest issue is actually the mc's "best friend" and the way the author starts dialogs and "small talks"/teasing. The audience does not need to be reminded who his "best friend" is every chapter, no one talks like that or thinks like that. most of the small talks are about his "best friend"'s dates and someone getting laid. its already book 4 and he hasnt dropped that style. Mc carried his "best friend" so hard and she doesn't bring much to the story, it would have been better to write the story without her.

Overall Good but.. small talks suck
