Publisher's Summary

A diabolically twisty, psychologically unsettling novel about a woman with no recollection of her past from the authors of the Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick The Last Mrs. Parrish and The Wife Stalker.

"Jaw-dropping twists with an unsettling edge that you’ll need a few days at the beach to recover." (Reese's Book Club)

Addison’s about to get married, but she’s not looking forward to the big day. It’s not her fiancé; he’s a wonderful man. It’s because Addison doesn't know who she really is. A few years ago, a kind driver found her bleeding next to a New Jersey highway and rescued her. While her physical wounds healed, Addison’s memory never returned. She doesn’t know her real name. Or how she ended up injured on the side of a road. Or why she can’t shake the notion that she may have done something very, very bad....

In a posh home in the Boston suburbs, Julian tries to figure out what happened to his loving, caring wife, Cassandra, who disappeared without a trace two years ago. She would never have left him and their seven-year-old daughter Valentina of her own free will - or would she?

As these two lives intersect, The Stranger in the Mirror hooks readers with riveting drama, told with Liv Constantine’s hallmark blend of glamour, tense psychological thrills, and jaw-dropping twists.

Another masterpiece

A great story that had my attention from the get go and trying to figure out how this would END! Liv Constantine is the best! A masterpiece by Liv Constantine! She us quickly becoming my favorite thriller writer. This one is outstanding! Addison shows up in Philadelphia knowing nothing about her self. Ed, a truck driver found her battered and bloodied on the side of a road Addison has amnesia! As she builds a new life, she meets Gabriel and they quickly make plans to marry, but Blythe, Gabriel's mother is wary of Addison. We also get another point of you, that of Julian, Addison's husband who's been looking for her for 2 years. It's a roller-coaster ride of emotions, anticipation and intrigue and you won't believe the twists. Yet again à great story! I loved the audiobook!

Don't waste your credit!

Long, drawn out and very unbelievable. This is truly the worst disaster they have created

I can’t get past the male narrator

The male narrator doing a child’s voice is so ridiculous and annoying that I can’t finish the book. Also the premise is so unbelievable that it ruins it. Like there’s an extremely simple fix that could have prevented everything in this story from happening. There’s literally a missing person database for this reason…

Boring

I couldn’t even get halfway through this book. The narration is terrible, especially when the man does the little girls voice.

A dry but twisty thriller

Not my favorite Constantine book, but it’s okay. Worth a credit, but not going to knock your 🧦s off.

Mind gripping read.

I loved this book from beginning to end. Couldn't stop listening until I finished. Excellent plot and storyline with a plot twist I didn't see coming.

Recommended Thriller!

I was apprehensive about this one initially.
The overused amnesia plot with a woman who has lost her memory who gets romantically involved with a man.
But this was written so well it kept me on edge and kept me reading.
A couple of times I thought I knew where the story was going but the twists and turns got me and I love that!
I haven't yet read The Last Mrs. Parish yet but with this book I'm already a fan of the Constantine sisters.
I listened to this on audible and thought the narration was excellent!

Good Story

Though it was easy to guess what was happening to Cassandra, the story kept my attention and overall it was good. The narration was well done and that made the book enjoyable as well.

So well done I will forgive the bad ending..

Liv Constantine is my guilty pleasure. She writes about unrealistic characters in really weird situations that would probably never happen, but this is part of her charm. The Stranger in the Mirror is no different. It's so far fetched it's almost hysterical, but I couldn't stop listening.

We have a young lady who's engaged to a beautiful man who loves her very much. She goes by the name Addison but she doesn't know her real name, because she has amnesia. Her husband is from a fairly wealthy family but all of them have somehow come to love Addison despite her mysterious past.

When a blast from her past shows up and explains that Addison is actually his long lost wife and mother to their child, everyone's lives are turned upside down. Even though the lost hubby comes up with stellar references and nothing odd in his background, we come to find out that things are not as they seem.

I will admit I couldn't stop listening. I ate up this far fetched story like a starving dog who's been given a steak. The ending was disappointing, but I will forgive the poor ending because the story was delicious.

Difficult to plod to the finish.

I've rated all of Liv Constantine's books 5-Star. This one started off slow and got worse from there. The narrator tried to be urgent but the overall effect was timidly whiny. I never return a book if I've made it to 50% so I finished it. With relief.
