À propos de cet audio

The Troop scared the hell out of me, and I couldn’t put it down. This is old-school horror at its best.” —Stephen King

Lord of the Flies meets 28 Days Later in this “grim microcosm of terror and desperation haunting” (Christopher Golden, New York Times bestselling author) following a scout troop on a terrifying fight for survival when they come across a mysterious—and deadly—stranger in the Canadian wilderness.

Once every year, Scoutmaster Tim Riggs leads a troop of boys into the Canadian wilderness for a weekend camping trip—a tradition as comforting and reliable as a good ghost story around a roaring bonfire. But when an unexpected intruder stumbles upon their campsite—shockingly thin, disturbingly pale, and voraciously hungry—Tim and the boys are exposed to something far more frightening than any tale of terror. The human carrier of a bioengineered nightmare. A horrifying contagion that spreads faster than fear. A harrowing struggle for survival with no escape from the elements, the infected…or one another.

Part parasitic horror, part survival thriller—and all-consuming—this tightly written, edge-of-your-seat thriller takes you deep into the heart of darkness, where fear feeds on sanity…and terror hungers for more.

Unbelievably effective. I’m going to make a docs appointment and get checked for worms now. And listen to the next nick cutter

Go Eat Worms

I have recently chewed through many a horror novel looking for a sufficiently scary/suspenseful story. This definitely scratched that itch! I can only imagine how I looked to fellow drivers on my way to work making faces (and noises) in reaction to the gruesome details Nick Cutter used to paint his pictures. He also does a great job with character development, adding in those love-to-hate characters alongside the ones you’re cheering on throughout the story (in my case out loud so engrossed not realizing there were people around me!).

Lived up to its reputation

I couldn’t stop listening. This was well narrated and the story was very captivating. However, it is not for everyone. The story has some gruesome parts that were a hard listen.

Gripping!

Very entertaining read/ listen it’s beautifully written. The end I didn’t see it going this way. The last character stayed alive was not the character I thought would. Just surprised me in a beautiful way and sad too

One of the best horror books I have read

I found this story to be extremely difficult to follow. the author seem to lose track of where his characters were or in what positions they were. I don't know if that makes sense? timelines seemed out somehow. I think I might have nightmares about worms though for a while
