Publisher's Summary

Letting go is not a process that comes naturally to us. In a world that teaches us to cling to what we love at all costs, there is an undeniable art to moving on - and it's one that we are constantly relearning. In this series of honest and poignant essays, Heidi Priebe explores the harsh reality of what it means to let go of the people and situations we love most - often before we are ready to - and how to embrace what comes next.

Not for me

Was more like a love story. Did not encourage strength of letting someone go, but instead ruminated on and on about loving and missing someone.

Letting go means letting go, not constantly reminiscing about the one you're letting go of. I'm sorry but I would not recommend.

Heartffelt and Deeply Healing

Such a beautiful affirmation that we are lovable, worth of love, beautiful, precious, no matter if anyone else refllects that back to us. Just hearing her voice is so comforting and nourishing to my heart and soul. Listing is like listening to the kindest voice I could have inside of me and I can also imagine it coming from the one I love and am letting go of. If you are grieving someone you love and surrendering to being single again then this is one of the most healing gifts you could give yourself. Highly recommended and I will be suggesting this to others going through divorce and especially those in the Rebuilders program.

Eh

I had emotional moments. I think I was looking for more of a how to rather than hearing about what seems to be her experiences.

In my pain

This was the second book I bought in this category. The book helped me process my pain. Some days I'm fine other days I'm a total mess, wondering if it was my fault. I appreciated the narrator, her voice was comforting and when I found my self drifting back into the abyss of sadness I turn this book on. I keep looking for his texts or waiting on his phone calls and I don't know why. But this author's point of view is helping me get stronger day by day.

Didn't think it was possible to feel WORSE

Bought this book thinking it would be helpful and it only made me feel worse. This book is like listening to a person's diary when they were broken up with. Couldn't even get through the first 15 minutes. I will be returning it.

Enh

I regret having spent money on this. I listened to the whole thing waiting for that meaningful bit that never came. Some of it seemed on target, but I feel this is more of the author’s personal perspective and much of it wasn’t relevant to me.

Great book. I laughed and cried. For Anyone on this painful path this book will make you smile.
The chapters are a great reference. I skip through and listen often. Narrator is easy to engage with. Definitely recommend!

This has nothing to do with let go

It’s contradiction after contradiction. She’s a good writer but these chapters don’t go together or help with letting go of someone. Maybe it’s me but I don’t understand how anyone found this helpful and not more depressing about ending a relationship.
