Publisher's Summary

One choice. One bite. Two fates rest in the balance.

After the harrowing events with the People of the Night, Luna and Sebastian deal with the aftermath of his decision. In a land full of vampires, finding happiness has never been more challenging.

Their troubles are far from over. When Queen Marguerite summons the pair back to Castle Sanguis to participate in a deadly tournament, nothing goes as it should. Luna and Sebastian make their way through the tournament, uncovering hidden motives behind the queen's request for their participation. The queen's game is not just a competition but a test of their loyalty to the crown.

As Luna and Sebastian navigate treacherous alliances, dangerous foes, and deadly threats, they must rely on their wits and love for each other to overcome the challenges that lie ahead.

The cost of failure is death.

Tormented is the second book in The Binding Chronicles and should be listened to after Tethered. Intended for mature listeners.

Man I survived book 2

Same as book one, the writing is poor and repetitive, she is supposed to be such an intelligent character, Luna, and there isn’t anything then a juvenile and predictable.
Again the narrator for Luna, is rubbing me the wrong way.
And there are those expressions that should not be in a book like this” penny for your thoughts” or “this is an an-orthodox marriage”.
I don’t recommend this books, I’m sorry.

Predictable

I had a hard time listening to the book. It seemed almost copy and paste from many other fantasy books iv read and I didn’t care for the dialogue.

cringy repetitive writing

I never want to hear the words academic, research or scholar again. I physically cringed everytime I heard them, which was non stop since so many lines were repeats. The male narrators voice is okay until he's pretending to be a female. The female narrators voice was all wrong and when she talked like the vampires it was awful and sounded more AI than human. The whole thing voices and story felt super cheesy. Honestly sad I wasted time and money on this steries. I kept thinking it'd get better but it didn't.
