Publisher's Summary

Three months ago, I landed a job as a bartender. But not at a bar - at a guild. Yeah, the magic kind.

I'm not a badass mage like my three smokin'-hot best friends. I'm not a sorcerer or an alchemist, or even a wussy witch. I'm just a human, slinging drinks like a pro and keeping my non-magical nose out of mythic business. Seriously, I know my limits.

So why am I currently standing in a black-magic ritual circle across from a fae lord?

Somewhere behind me, my three mage friends are battling for their lives. Somewhere near my feet is the rogue witch I just knocked out with a stolen spell. And I have about five seconds to convince this very angry sea god not to smoosh me like a bug.

I'm pretty sure this wasn't part of the job description.

Enjoyable listen

I really enjoy the characters in this series, their is depth and intrigue in each one. Annette Marie is awesome, although I almost dropped a star on this one for pulling that fast one with Tory and Aaron 🤣

Teen Urban Fantasy

Always easy listening. Love the Zack character... aka Ghost aka Crystal Druid... total badass.. some parts didn't fit, like including the witch at the park for the fay summoning.. I understood why she was there... for the betrayal factor, but the 3 mages seem too independent to include her... small stuff.
I binged listened to 3 audiobooks in the series.. so far..
Funny Thing, Im not a girl teen, but a recently retired dude, but still enjoy this author

Not as good as before

Somehowv the story lapsed into teenage romance. Not exactly as good as before. Like it was rushed to finish or something...

GOOD CONTINUATION IN THE SERIES.

Most enjoyable. Torie is getting into more and more adventures with her three best friends. I was a bit disappointed that her romance with Aaron isn't going on more smoothly but I can understand as she's still very young. Anyway there were lots of actions and tensions throughout the story which flowed smoothly. Well performed/narrated by Chris Dukehart. Annette Marie as always is at her top form and I am looking forward to,her next book on Torie and her friends.

Almost perfect

I've been binge listening to this series the last few days and I'm in love with it. It's a great urban fantasy and I can't wait to start the next one. I like the narrator as well. She really does a great job, but with this book, there is one tiny problem. The way she butchers the Japanese names in chapter 15. I was cringing the whole way through that part. Otherwise, she was great. A helpful tip for narrators out there, check name pronunciations before you record, please.

It gets better and better

An absolutely phenomenal series that gets better with every book in it. I love angsty characters, the love, the family... It comes with every thing a great should.
