About this listen

Ayaan Hirsi Ali's Infidel meets The Handmaid's Tale.

Since September 11, 2001, the Western world has been preoccupied with Islam and its role in terrorism. Yet, public debate about the faith is polarized. One camp praises "the religion of peace", while the other claims all Muslims are terrorists. Canadian human rights activist Yasmine Mohammed believes both sides are dangerously wrong.

In Unveiled: How Western Liberals Empower Radical Islam, Yasmine speaks her truth as a woman born in the Western world yet raised in a fundamentalist Islamic home. Despite being a first-generation Canadian, she never felt at home in the West. And even though she attended Islamic schools and wore the hijab since age nine, Yasmine never fit in with her Muslim family, either. With one foot in each world, Yasmine is far enough removed from both to see them objectively, yet close enough to see them honestly.

Part Ayaan Hirsi Ali's Infidel, part The Handmaid's Tale, Yasmine's memoir takes listeners into a world few Westerners are privy to. As a college educator for over 15 years, Yasmine's goal is to unveil the truth. Is FGM Islamic or cultural? Is the hijab forced or a choice? Is ISIS a representation of "true" Islam or a radical corruption? And why is there so much conflicting information? Like most insular communities, the Islamic world has both an "outside voice" and an "inside voice". It's all but impossible for bystanders to get a straight answer.

Without telling anyone what to believe, Unveiled navigates the rhetoric and guides truth-seekers through media narratives, political correctness, and outright lies while encouraging listeners to come to their own conclusions.

Western Society protecting the unacceptable

This book shows a very said reality that is so protected by the same progressivists that would be violently against a fraction of those same things if committed against no Muslim women.

Truly revealing

I was led to Yasmine through Dave Rubin's interview with her.. As a fellow Canadian, her story is an ice pick to my heart. She is resilient beyond belief and her courage is a light shining on the TRUE racism of the west.
We need to do better.

A must read! Thank you🙏

Wow! I am incredibly grateful to Yasmine Mohammed for her immense courage in speaking out against the silencing of women. As an Iranian woman who, like many others, was compelled to leave her country to escape the gender apartheid enforced by Sharia laws of the Islamic Republic, I cannot emphasize enough the significance of Yasmine's message to Western feminists. Intersectionality does not imply accepting the oppression of women simply because it originates from another culture; on the contrary, it highlights the need to confront additional oppressive forces. A genuine intersectional feminist would stand in solidarity with women facing such challenges, rather than turning a blind eye or dismissing their struggles. Thank you, Yasmine, for fearlessly advocating for women's rights.

A must listen/read

A must-read (or listen), no matter how uncomfortable it gets. This book exposes the fundamental Islamic ideology that too many liberals defend—despite it being entirely counterintuitive to the very liberal values they claim to uphold—enabling the ongoing suffering of innocent girls and women.

I have started and stopped this book so many times, overwhelmed by the sheer depth of emotion it evokes. Rage—for the suffering she endured in the name of a fabricated god. Sorrow, frustration, hopelessness, despair—I felt every ounce of her pain. Her story is raw, unfiltered, and deeply moving.

Time and time again, I watched her light be dimmed, knowing that, deep down, she saw the cracks in it all. Her mother—I wanted to reach through the pages, shake her, wake her, make her the protector Yasmine so desperately needed.

Yasmine you are incredibly brave. Incredibly strong. It takes immense courage to tell your story. You are a beacon for so many who were unlucky enough to be born into a world that seeks to suffocate them.
