Narrator a little dry and took a while to get used to, but the story makes up for it. Some differences from the arc the Apple TV show took, but so much more detailed and actually laugh out loud moments. About to start next book. I’m hooked!

I was wondering about the TV show, but I don’t have Apple TV plus so I got this audiobook. The first several chapters are slow and disjointed, but it picks up and it’s full tilt from then on.
The narrator has a great voice, smooth and nice to listen to.
The world building is interesting and you feel like you know the characters after awhile. Just bought the next one in the series:))

I enjoyed this story. Like many, I started reading after I watched the TV series, as I'm too impatient to find out what happens. I find the story and characters engaging and believable, but the narration... is not for me. I've listened to books narrated by Eduardo Ballerini before, and honestly he reads each book exactly the same. His narrations have exactly the same cadence and pace irrelevant to what's actually happening in the story. If I had never heard him narrate a story before I would probably be OK with listening to this one, and find his narration fine, but not now. As it is, I've already purchased the series, and will speed up the narration to push through and find out what happens. Which is sad.

I really enjoyed this book, Great story and the narrator is fantastic. Its hard to say too much without giving away key points. Will be listening to the others in this series for sure.
