Honestly I wasn’t going to read this book but I’m glad I did. I wish there were more “new scenes” and less “alternate POVs” since those seem to be too similar to the ones we already read. NARRATION: at first I found the male voice too aggressive however I have listened to all the zodiac academy books on audible with the same duo. I now LOVE the male narration here. Once you know the story, you know it’s got a comical and ridiculous undertone. The way he reads Lionel acrux is UNMATCHED. Well done.

Idk why he speaks with such … grandiosity and guff but it’s nothing like the other book.
It’s giving ‘fedora and I need to fake masculinity’

I stopped listening to it (good thing cuz it IS just snippets of multiple books so I had a chance to read the first book and stopped at it saying ‘alternate ending of book 8’) I don’t wanna spoil the story either.
These are hard to listen to. Even when he was being the king in a ‘soft intimate moment’ the narrator was basically yelling gruffly in your ear. The narrator didn’t take a hint at all, didn’t follow the mood of the writing. HE JUST TALKS IN ALL CAPS 😐
Listening to book 0.5 to get more back story and it’s the same thing. I heavily suggest the dramatized adaptations if you go further into the series, book 1 was great!. Cuz minus loud music (wish they didn’t add music cuz I speed audio books up) the narration is a million times better.

Over dramatic. So many storylines you get lost. I even found parts of the wolf/vampire story line offensive, some of the initial storyline too. Hate to leave a bad review but save your dollars on this one. I wish I could get a refund. It lacks any cohesiveness. I really tried to stick with it…

First audiobook I completely gave up on

This is the first audiobook for which I wish I could get a refund. The male part is so overwhelming that I cannot focus on the plot, which may not be that strong to start with. Even basic narration is like the end of the world is coming. So disappointing!

Over-acting

The story line might be good and over time I may have enjoyed it but the actors reading are so hard to listen to. Over acting and poor dialect distract from the actual story.
