XBOX: THE OUROBOROS OF THE GAMES INDUSTRY.

We were planning for this week's topic to be of a much lighter nature, but the one we picked instead was too big and too infuriating to ignore. Xbox/Microsoft has been the poster child for bad business decisions ever since the reveal of the Xbox One eleven years ago, and they've only gotten bafflingly worse. From layoffs, to cancellations, to near-100 Billion dollar acquisitions of megacorps setting worrisome precedents, they've been notoriously bad at being a game company, but the news from the past few days has taken the cake. Xbox announced they were immediately shutting down four of Bethesda's Studios for the most infuriating and baffling of reasons, and we have a lot to say about it and the man at the head of it all. So, tune in as Alec and Brian dig into Microsoft, their issues, the fallout, and what needs to change before they fall apart entirely.

    VEGETA SUPERGIRL INCOMING!

When planning this episode, we figured there would be way more news from the past two weeks we would've been able to talk about. That surprisingly isn't the case this time. Ah well, just means we can finally make an episode under four hours. Tune in with Alec and Brian as they discuss recent news, rumors, and trailers from the past two weeks, including the highly anticipated second season of My Adventures with Superman!

WHO ARE WE? ARE WE NOT UNIQUE?

With Alec having beaten Persona 3 Reload just a few days ago, the boys were in the mood to finally tackle another game in the series that just so happens to be one of their favorite games of all time -- Persona 5 Royal. This entry in the long-running Persona series (and the even longer-running Shin Megami Tensei franchise if you wanna be a nerd) quite literally changed the game for turn-based RPGs in recent years, even more so with its expanded edition. This game may be too dense to cover completely without skipping over some areas, but we're gonna damn well try. So, tune in as Alec, Brian, and Birthday Boy Trey discuss the highly-acclaimed JRPG -- Persona 5 Royal -- as they struggle to keep their collective sanity!

CODY vs. ROMAN II - WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY TETSUYA NOMURA!

Now that we're finished with our two-month Avatar, it's time to take a look at all the things we missed out on the past couple wee-- oh god that's a lot. Between terrible sequel ideas, terrible video game news, new trailers for Joker and Transformers, Snyder shenanigan discourse, as well as the biggest period of pro wrestling in ages, we have way too much to cover and way too much time on our hands to do it. So, tune in as Alec and Brian dive into a whole lotta things they missed from the past few weeks as possible!

    (FEYD-RAUTHA VOICE) "WHATDOWEDO?"

The internet may have tried to stop us, but our persistence in hyperfixation will not be beaten. Between tech difficulties and the amount of ideas we had to discuss, this entry of Boulder Pitch proved way too much for one episode. So, come join Alec and Brian as the former continues with his pitch for the next Avatar series!

"WARNING: EARTH KINGDOM IS NOW TOO SPOOKY!"

The boys have finally gone through every season of both Avatar shows. So, what now? With a series about the Avatar after Korra heavily rumored to be coming in the next few years, we thought it'd be high time to bring back Boulder Pitch with our biggest and most ambitious concepts yet, so much so that it's all too big for one episode! So, come join Brian and Alec as they begin their two-part journey pitching their own concepts, episodes, and seasons for the next Avatar!

THE LEGEND COMES TO AN END...

After many, many weeks of covering each season, the boys have not only finally reached the end of Korra, but as of now, the end of the Avatar saga (comics aside). Book Three left Korra in a place far beyond broken, and with a new fascist threat on the rise sparking shades of the 100-Year-War, she must find a way to come back stronger than ever as the Avatar. This final season is widely-regarded as one of the best in the franchise, not to mention how it paved the road for LGBTQ+ representation in other shows like it, but how does it hold up today? Tune in to find out as Brian and Alec go all in on The Legend of Korra one last time with Book Four: Balance!

    "ENTER THE VOID..."

After the difficult productions of Book One and Book Two, alongside tumultuous reception, it seemed like the Avatar sequel series was doomed for cancellation. Thankfully, the complete opposite happened, and although it wouldn't be the end of their production troubles, the creative team were guaranteed two more seasons to plan and execute. What resulted was a season many consider to be on par with the best of the original, with an antagonist considered the best in the franchise. Nearly ten years later, does this all still ring true? Tune in to find out as Alec and Brian continue their coverage of The Legend of Korra with Book Three: Change!
