    Forgiving student debt is great for people-- who wouldn't want more money? That extra money can be used for education (ironically), childcare, or for other spending -- including sushi or sneakers or houseplants-- that spurs the economy.


    The problem is, it doesn't spur it much-- especially not compared to inflation, which is the other side of the inflation. Price inflation and dollar inflation will both hit the economy, and as everyone interacts in the US economy, including most other countries around the world, the net result may be more harm than good.
