Wrong diagnosis has greatly diminished our chance of changing their lives. Let me give you my argument on why we must change the diagnosis. We are successfully treating the cough, but we have ignored the lung cancer.

Now about 30 percent of the kids in the US are obese. I am sure this is not the historical norm. I have researched fasting in adults, but other than starving, there is little on fasting in children.

There is no doubt that the new incretin weight loss drugs will revolutionize the treatment of obesity, but how exactly. I will explain the current field of obesity treatment. Up to this point I can easily say we are doing a poor job of treating obesity. The incidence of obesity in the United states has been rising over the last 150 years to the point that now we have a 40% incidence of obesity in adults, and it continues to rise.

Today, those on the modern Western diet have over a 40 percent incidence of diabetes, prediabetes, and obesity. Not only in the United States, but everywhere this diet has been adopted. The goal for you is to prevent type 2 diabetes by getting you on the right diet. This is not an easy task and this audiobook is a compilation of five smaller books.

Modern artificial sweeteners were developed so that we can have sweet things yet decrease the sucrose in our diet. They are sucrose replacements that do not have many calories if any, and do not affect insulin secretion which leads to the development of insulin resistance and eventual obesity or Type 2 diabetes.

I decided on a 28-day fast both to lose a little weight and to make some expert observations that I had not seen reflected in other studies on fasting. I did not do any blood work or change my lifestyle. I have been practicing the advice I give everyone: by fasting 12 hours from your last meal of the day to your first of the next day. I also practice intermittent fasting two days a week. This has produced epigenetic changes in my metabolism such that I will compensate for no food intake more rapidly than others.
