The fae king is growing on me. Every touch, look, and night spent in his arms is slowly melting my resistance. When his feral side takes over, something inside me wants to let go and give him everything. With each passing day, the pull is getting harder to deny. 

The Red Plains are hot. But my fae king? Even hotter. So, we kind of got captured by a warlike clan of Vundi warriors. Sounds bad, right? But they treat us as guests, and I’m coming to like them despite the ongoing threat of me being shipped off to the king beyond the mountain. I still endeavor to reach the winter kingdom and find a way back home...until the Vundi high priestess reveals that I may have more ties to the fae world than I ever imagined.  

Beth has lured me into the slave rebellion with promises that spark a fire in my heart ... and in other places, as well. The Bazaar will either lead to a revolution, or end in countless lives lost and an even greater stronghold for slavery. On top of that, an old enemy has arisen, and fighting him will take every bit of strength and magic I possess. But he has more lives and more plans than I can fathom, and each of them includes destroying the realms, my king, and my mate. 

Keeping Beth by my side is turning out to be far harder than I planned. After all, I couldn’t escape her when we were traveling with Leander and Taylor. She dogged my steps, flitted through my dreams, and took up all my waking thoughts. Now? She’s disappeared like smoke through my fingers. But I will always find her. Nothing can keep me from the one my soul is tethered to, not even this pit of a city, Cranthum.

Beth an meiner Seite zu behalten erweist sich als weitaus schwieriger, als ich gedacht hatte. Schließlich konnte ich ihr nicht entkommen, als wir mit Leander und Taylor unterwegs waren. Sie verfolgte meine Schritte, huschte durch meine Träume und nahm all meine wachen Gedanken ein. 

My college roommate is the worst. Cecile steals my food, brings guys over at all hours, and parties instead of studying. But those quirks pale in comparison to what she does next. The wily changeling has gotten so deep under my skin that I can’t breathe without feeling her. Her smart mouth is a constant temptation, our salty banter like rough kisses in a darkened room. My thoughts are broken, and I can admit that I’m obsessed...I avoid her and bury myself in preparations for the winter realm’s new queen. It’s working...At least it was until I felt the mate bond snap into place. All my rules splinter when I realize Beth is mine. And when she’s taken from me? I will crush the pillars of Arin to get her back.

Drawing my online clan and planning my escape from my mother - these are priorities. Or, at least, they were, until three huge alien males came to abduct me and take me to their planet. But it's not just a simple process of probing and then releasing me back to Earth. All those movies are lies. These three males keep me. And I'm suddenly a cadet at an Omega Academy. None of this makes any sense, to begin with. Never mind the three alphas I can't seem to avoid. But they say we have a connection and that we're a circle, whatever that means.

Joining with my alphas has changed me at my most basic levels. I can't seem to control my powers, but with Jeren, Kyte, and Ceredes at my side, I think I'll eventually stop with the accidental outbursts of lethal energy. Hopefully. But my powers aren't the only problems. I have an omega who wants me dead, a Sentient who is still trying to kidnap me, and an undeniable need to mate with my alphas.

The Abyss is full of terrors, but the mines aren’t much better. Gareth is with me every step of the way, protecting me and giving me more pleasure than I believed possible. I thought once we reached the mines our journey would be at an end. With or without Clotty, we would travel to the winter realm and start our life together just as I’d sworn to Gareth all those months ago. But how can I stop when freedom for all is so near? Risking a rift between us, I plot a new course - one that has its own dangers.

When the day king shows up to take ten changelings as his consorts, I’m happy those selection days are behind me. At least, I thought they were. But instead of ten young females, King Solano chooses only one. Me. Emma Druzy, sock darner and 28-year-old spinster of Moonhollow. He takes me to the day realm, a world of sun and beauty the likes of which I’ve never imagined. Solano is far more than he seems, his wit and his warmth breaking down my walls. But there’s danger here, too, the sort that creeps up on you despite the bright light of day.

Nicht, wenn ich ihre verwundete Seele in ihren Augen sehen kann, selbst wenn sie lacht.

Der Abgrund ist voller Schrecken, aber die Minen sind nicht viel besser. Gareth begleitet mich auf Schritt und Tritt, beschützt mich und bereitet mir mehr Lust, als ich es für möglich gehalten hätte. Ich dachte, sobald wir die Minen erreicht haben, wäre unsere Reise zu Ende. Mit oder ohne Clotty würden wir in das Winterreich reisen und unser gemeinsames Leben beginnen, so wie ich es Gareth vor all den Monaten geschworen habe. 

Beth hat mich mit Versprechungen, die ein Feuer in meinem Herzen entfachen, in die Sklavenrebellion gelockt … und auch zu anderen Orten. Der Basar wird entweder zu einer Revolution führen oder mit unzähligen verlorenen Leben als eine noch größere Hochburg der Sklaverei enden. Darüber hinaus ist ein alter Feind aufgetaucht, und gegen ihn zu kämpfen wird mir jedes bisschen Kraft und Magie abverlangen, das ich besitze.  

Der Feenkönig wächst mir ans Herz. Jede Berührung, jeder Blick und jede Nacht in seinen Armen schmelzen langsam meinen Widerstand. Wenn seine wilde Seite übernimmt, will etwas in mir loslassen und ihm alles geben. Mit jedem Tag, der vergeht, wird es immer schwieriger, die Anziehungskraft zu verleugnen. Aber der Weg ins Winterreich ist voller Gefahren, und ich muss mich darauf konzentrieren, den Weg nach Hause zu finden, nicht auf die lustvollen Versprechungen, die mir Leander nachts ins Ohr flüstert. Doch wie lange kann ich dem berauschenden Kuss des Winters widerstehen? 

Der Verrat hat Taylor weit über meine Reichweite hinausgeführt. Ich kann fühlen, wie sich die Verbindung gedehnt und verdreht hat, bis sie kurz davor steht, zu reißen. Aber ich werde sie finden. Sie gehört mir, so wie ich ihr gehöre, und nichts und niemand wird mich davon abhalten, meine Königin zu retten. Ich werde immer zu ihr gelangen. Wenn sie verletzt wird, werde ich sie heilen. Wenn sie Angst hat, werde ich meine Arme um sie legen, und ihr einen sicheren Hafen geben. Und was die betrifft, die sie entführt haben?

Meine Mitbewohnerin vom College ist richtig übel. Cecile stiehlt mir das Essen, bringt zu jeder Zeit Jungs mit nach Hause und feiert, anstatt zu lernen. Aber diese üblen Eigenschaften verblassen im Vergleich zu dem, was sie als nächstes tut. Sie betäubt mich, und ich wache als Gefangene in einem anderen Universum voller schrecklicher Kreaturen auf. Nun, die größte und furchterregendste Kreatur von allen - ein Feen-König - glaubt, dass ich seine Gefährtin bin. Er hat mich aus dem Kerker befreit, behält mich aber in seiner Nähe.

Die Roten Ebenen sind heiß. Aber mein Feenkönig? Noch heißer. Irgendwie wurden wir von einem kriegerischen Klan von Vundi-Kriegern gefangen genommen. Klingt übel, oder? Aber sie behandeln uns als Gäste, und ich beginne, sie zu mögen, trotz der anhaltenden Gefahr, dass ich zum König hinter dem Berg verschleppt werde. Ich bemühe mich immer noch, das Winterreich zu erreichen und einen Weg zurück nach Hause zu finden.... bis die Hohepriesterin der Vundi enthüllt, dass ich vielleicht mehr Verbindungen zur Welt der Feen habe, als ich mir je vorgestellt hätte.
