IF HE CAN'T HAVE HER, NO ONE ELSE CAN
Kade Mitchell is obsessed with someone he despises. A snake in an angel’s skin, Stacey Rhodes is everything he can’t forget–the girl who shattered his heart and drove him deep into the darkness of the underworld. He watched her for years. Killed anyone who came close to her. But now, granted a brief moment of freedom from the life he’s trapped in, he’s back home and driven to claim her again, breaking every rule he’s ever made for himself. Not even his hatred can stop the pull between them. But he’ll never forgive her… will he?
As this is a dark romance, the author highly recommends seeing the 'content warning' page.

Kade’s Scottish/American combo accent was fairly non existent - a word randomly would sound Scottish and it would make me go “oh yeah he’s supposed to be Scottish.”
His ability to be a trained assassin and know several languages over the span of two years seemed like a plot hole. Some flashbacks to these times would maybe make it more believable. He is also this trained killer yet makes silly mistakes and doesn’t know about her other step brother? That seems improbable. You can’t hack her phone? Okay then steal it?
I know some other comments mentioned the voice for Stacey but it wasn’t the age of it that bothered me it was the fact that she sounded English, not Scottish in my opinion yet I don’t really recall that being established. Also there didn’t feel like there was a good enough reason for her to stay in her step families home - I get she doesn’t have a ton of money but she has friends and a job? This isn’t me trying to victim blame, it didn’t seem like Chris was manipulating her into staying or had some hold on her emotionally (ie an abusive partner).
It was good, but something was missing for me..
