Howard Weiner writes from a lifetime of reading about and observing the exploits of the world’s intelligence services—especially the push and pull between the U.S.A., the U.S.S.R., and more recently the Russian Federation. In his past, Howard held a series of compartmentalized security clearances in support of his efforts for a unit of the U.S. Department of Defense. Howard writes in the genre of literary fiction. The plots of his novels are a combination of press reports and articles. The characters, locations, and events have been carefully manipulated to avoid a connection with any person—living or dead, family, or location. He has exercised the discretion afforded all writers of fiction to embellish in the interest of a good story—hopefully well told—where appropriate. The characters in his novels are an amalgam of the many memorable people and personalities he has encountered. It is his fondest hope that his readers enjoy meeting them especially the recurring characters in each of the series.
