Description
Rodriguez is captain of the scout ship Eleanor, which had carried Wren Fisher, the scientist who discovered a plant-animal hybrid that could potentially change humankind's reality on a monumental scale. The medical possibilities are beyond imagination. However, upon close reading of the report that Wren had submitted before her presumed death, the scientists on the Harbinger speculated that any interaction with the new species would lead to death for the human or other equally horrifying consequences, such as rapid phenotype expression changes due to radically altered DNA.
Although all the ramifications and implications of the new information is not completely understood yet, the conclusion is definite - the crew has to get out of there.
