. Darryl Houston Smith s’est tourné vers la poésie à travers sa passion pour le rock'n'roll. En étudiant la vie de Jim Morrison, le chanteur (et parolier) principal des Doors, il a découvert que celui-ci nourrissait une profonde admiration pour les poètes français du XIXe siècle, Baudelaire et Rimbaud. Intrigué, il s’est plongé dans leurs œuvres et a trouvé l’inspiration pour explorer sa propre voix poétique. Actuellement, Darryl travaille sur un livre sur l’impact culturel de Jim Morrison et des Doors. Il vit avec sa femme et son chien à Lowell, dans le Massachusetts. Darryl Houston Smith came to poetry through his love for rock and roll. While researching the life of The Door’s lead singer (and chief lyricist), Jim Morrison, Darryl learned that Jim was enamored of the 19th century French poets Baudelaire and Rimbaud. Intrigued, Darryl studied their works became inspired to explore his own poetic voice. Darryl is currently working on a book about the cultural impact of Jim Morrison and The Doors. He lives with his wife and dog in Lowell, Massachusetts
