 Isaiah 45:9 (ESV) – “Woe to him who strives with him who formed him, a pot among earthen pots! Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’ or ‘Your work has no handles’?” In today’s Daily Devotions with Pastor David Sumrall, we look at a recurring phrase in the book of Isaiah: “what sorrow.” Again and again, God warns His people of the sorrow that comes from pride, rebellion, compromise, and misplaced trust. From hoarding possessions to calling evil good, from hiding sin to arguing with our Creator, these choices only lead to sadness and destruction.
