Love this series, missing the characters
The conceptual and philosophical word salads (sarcasm intentional) whenever Zack is fighting, or cultivating, or brushing his teeth, are becoming increasingly difficult/tedious to follow to the point of feeling like filler. (In this volume) I find myself missing all the interesting characters from previous volumes. When Emily makes an appearance in this book I realized how much I missed her and all the important supporting characters. They sometimes feel more interesting than Zack. Shocking, I know, but I'm deeply invested in this series and it matters to me!

Hoping the next one will be better.
This story has lost its way. Unfortunately the characters don't seem to have any significance to each other.

I don't know if I can continue on this series
*No spoilers*
I have sincerely enjoyed the first 10 books in the series. However, it's interest has declined lately. Before I go into that, I'd like to state a few of the reasons I have kept going until here.
Pros. The start was fast and fun. The character development is detailed and engaging. The universe is extremely well planed, diverse and vast. The MC, along with all supporting characters get an appropriate amount focus. Overall, very well written in terms of structure.
The problem; The story has really slowed to a crawl(No offense Carl. If you know, you know!). At the current pace, I estimate another 16 books needed for the MC to reach the peak of supremacy. The still doesn't include whatever they would need to surpass this level, so the final objective can be achieved.
I won't return this book, but I likely won't purchase more unless the story takes a big leap forward in one of the future books. It's truly a testament to the story, that this series has progressed so little and still kept people interested.
