Zach and his ladies are packing up for the dragon conclave. He has enough on his hands trying to impress centuries-old dragons that he’s their new king.

But when a dragon arrives injured and another dies at the conclave, things grow tense at the conclave. Zach will need to step up as their new king and solve a problem so old it’s been forgotten.

As if he doesn’t have enough to deal with, as pushy dragons vie for his attention, he’ll have to solve a murder as well.

This book is different from the others so far - more of a fantasy theme and less urban fantasy, as our main character heads off to the Dragon Conclave as their new king.

The book introduces a ton of new characters - love interests, enemies, and even strong male characters who aren't total assholes (gasp)! The enemies are not all craven hypocrites, and not every woman is falling at his feet. This to me is a nice improvement! The new characters get voiced slowly by the narrators, with a wide range of voices and events that make it a delight to listen to. And, of course, the harem increases, with two new women joining. This does mean less focus on the existing harem members, but that's an unfortunate side effect of this genre - its not handled badly.
