This is now my favourite series!
I bough this audio book late one night based on one review that said it was funny. I was tired and just wanted something light and different for a change of pace. I figured it would make a good book to fall asleep too. Well I kissed sleep goodbye that night because I spent half the night laughing out loud. Like genuinely wake my kids and husband laughing out loud. This book was my introduction to the litrpg genre. I used to frequent the mystery, fantasy and horror books. This is all of those rolled into one but better! While waiting for the next book in the Carl and Donut saga I have checked out others in the genre and nothing else compares. I have found myself re listening to the series in anticipation of the next book and even after several times through it I find it still makes me laugh. If you aren’t sure if this book/ series is for you, let me help… buy it! You do not need to be a fan of the genre or video games to thoroughly enjoy this series. It’s such a fun and clever story and the narration is the absolute best! Jeff Hays should narrate every audiobook… ever… All of them! I have told anyone and everyone willing to listen about this series. Made my husband listen too it with me as well. I only had to make him listen though to start. He got hooked just as bad as I did and was laughing along with me. Thank you Matt for the killer adventure and the many, many laughs. I would also like to mention how happy I am with the pace of the book releases. No other series that I’ve ever read or listened to have released books in such quick succession. It makes me ecstatic not to have to wait a year or two between books. Just months between the releases and every single book in the series has been amazing. You need this story in your life so buy the book! Sleep is overrated.

everything i was lead to believe
this was absolutely phenomenal. i was literally laughing aloud 8 minutes into chapter 1. 10 out of 5 stars Matt and Jeff. 10 out of 5 stars.
princess donut is one of my favourite characters to ever exist, and she perfectly compliments carl. the combination of characters makes for absolutely 100% genius entertainment. i'm glad i waited until i could get the entire series so far released, as I have been/will be binging it.

3rd time and still friggin hilarious!
This series is my favourite LITRPG and one of my top 5 favourite series! It is laugh out loud funny, the characters are all well crafted and believable and after 5 books the story has only grown more engaging. Unlike many LITRPG series that tend to get a bit stale after a few books, this one continues to rise higher... or dig deeper? I guess dig deeper as it's a dungeon crawler series.

oddly satisfying
Like an AI that has a foot fetish, I too enjoyed Dungeon Crawler Carl.
I read a few reddit reviews and couldnt help but give it a try - with the sample i wasnt too sold on it but im glad i went all in. i was oddly surprised at how good the story and performance was and found myself not putting it down for hours on end.

So fun
This book is humorous, full of action and multiple story lines and great for those who play dungeon crawler games, the stats building is fun if you know what it is but is probably annoying if you don’t.

JUST TRY IT, ITS AMAZING!

My first LitRPG book

After one hour into this book, I bought the rest!
