great read but mjolnir was spoken wrong that is my only problem with the reader

great but 1 issue

I enjoyed this second reading in the Hall series much more than the first. although both are good, the voice acting is this has much more effort put into it, while the reader seems to understand 'how' characters are supposed to sound. and nails the tone of voice on them. very few strange pronunciations as well. only issue are a few plot holes that I noticed throughout.

Great tie in novel and it gives us so much more to what happened on the ring not just with master chief but the ODSTs too. 10/10 highly recommend please read if you have played Halo or you are a fan of the series.

only bad part is when it ends. must be on to the next in the series. "Audible" for when you want to binge on books :)

Halo doesn't disappoint

I've read the book multiple times and played the game for the past 20 years. An excellent read. Voice acting was mostly very well done however his performance of Cortana was a little too soft and lacked confidence. If I hadn't played the game I probably would've given 5 Stars. Very enjoyable indeed.

If you are looking for a book on the classic original Halo game, this is for you! Feel what it was like for Keyes to lose his mind, à parallel story on a commando elite who wants to see the master chief killed, and how even the Flood can make the Master Chief shiver...

Book 2 is a perfect expansion of Halo lore. It perfectly captures my nostalgia for Halo: Combat Evolved while expanding on the lore in a brilliant detailed way. The introduction of The Flood as a species is done from multiple perspectives in excellent fashion. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has either read the first book or played through the video game series.

The story is of that of the first Halo game in 2001. It was a good and interesting story on Xbox, and it's even more fleshed out here. It has a few extra subplots, and explains what happens to a few characters while Master Chief is fighting the Covenant and the Flood. I want to praise the narrator's performance, he did phenomenal work. He really brought the story to life and had great acting skills. I am actually going to buy another audiobook based solely on the fact that he narrated it.

The preformance was good, however, the pronunciation of some of the acronyms, such as H.U.D or O.N.I, was been said as if it were a word like Hud or Oni in the games. and since the books are based on the games. It only makes sense to stay consistent with the source material.

other than the acronym pronunciation, the plot and preformance were excellent. A solid 4/5 stars.
