When Frank Bettger was 29, he was a failed insurance salesman. By the time he was 40, he owned a country estate and could have retired. What are the selling secrets that turned Bettger's life around from defeat to unparalleled success and fame as one of the highest-paid salesmen in America?

He shares instructive anecdotes and step-by-step guidelines on how to develop the style, spirit, and presence of a winning salesperson. No matter what you sell, you will be more efficient and profitable - and more valuable to your company - when you apply Bettger's keen insights on:

This book was truly enlightening. I appreciated the author's candid sharing of personal experiences and the actionable advice they provided.

One particular idea that resonated with me was when the author said, "if you were my brother I would say what I am going to say to you now…"

For those embarking on a sales career, I wholeheartedly recommend this book. In fact, I procured a few copies to distribute among my team.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS BOOK 😍

This title is great for the salesperson, especially the life insurance sales person who appreciates specific examples. There are a lot of great tips and advice on how not only to be better at sales, but better at life as well. I enjoyed the narration. I took away one star because some of the examples and advice are a little dated. For instance, it took me a while to figure out what a haberdasher is. I do however, recommend this book to anyone entering or struggling with sales

Timeless Advice

I heard this booked mentioned years ago but it wasn't until it was recently referred to again that make me start "reading" it. Sure glad I did. I listened to this book back to back and still found tips to implement into my practice. This is one tool in your toolbox that you will always use.
