À propos de cet audio

Torn from her home by a reality-warping power, Zalia strives to survive in a frozen world of strange beasts, mysterious magics, and a kingdom at war.

Zalia Taori is well equipped for life in the remote forest valley she calls home. But while tracking a deer through her snowy stomping grounds—armed with her hunting bow and excellent knowledge of wild plants—she comes across a warp in the fabric of reality. She suddenly finds herself in an unfamiliar land where she must learn to survive as both predator and prey.

As Zalia explores this forbidding new terrain, she encounters peculiar herbs, terrifying monsters, mysterious rituals, and some unexpected friends. She enters a world of classes and levels, where making the right move can bestow new powers—and a high-ranking bunny can be a badass opponent.

But just as this lone hunter gets her bearings, she discovers trouble brewing across the landscape. From a safe perch, Zalia spies opposing armies gathering their defenses. As knights and mages run headlong into battle, she knows she won't be able to keep her distance forever . . .

Story

All I’ll say is, it’s very hard to care about the world and the characters, when the main character doesn’t care as well. Our MC doesn’t care about the world and its politics so halfway through we barely know what the country is called. So I guess it’s not a politically motivated narrative. That’s okay I read those as well. But then the MC doesn’t care about the people around her. She’s super antisocial and sarcastic to the point where she feels wafer thin. Very deadpan about everything. Doesn’t trust anyone type of character. And even though she doesn’t care, we’re told that she is a good person by a stranger she met. How do we the audience know this?
So all we’re left with is just power scaling. It’s very hard to care about moving certain power X from level 1 -2 when I don’t care about anything other than just moving from level to level. Please authors, let the characters care about things. I beg you.
All of this brings down the voice actor who’s doing her best with a deadpan character and grey story.

Solid bones. A few notes.

Excellent book. Good skills, plot, characters.
Plot swung wide for a bit (solo hunter to national politics) but great overall. I thought it was five star overall until it came time to buy the sequels - they’re broken up into 14 hour chunks which is ridiculously small for litRPG. I guess if I’m not going to spend credits it wasn’t five star.

I really like that MC is mature and competent, and no whining at all about her situations, though I would have liked a little more of her background since her starting situation was never fully explained. The pacing of both progression and story feels just right, and the fighting is pretty detailed without feeling like a drag. Overall, there is a very good Druid story with little to complain about.

The book starts great. And continue nicely for the first half. Nice new breath into the transport in new world staff. Only problem was the MC naivety and forced righteousness well and that problem grows exponentially in second part. Second half of the book can wear giant sign cliché.

First half is awesome the second disappointing.
