Brilliant storytelling!
I have not previously read any Margaret Atwood books and discovered what I have been missing. Starting with the Handmaid's Tale, I was completely captivated by the storyline to the point when I finished it, I needed to deep dive into The Testaments.
What a brilliant storyteller Atwood is! I listened to the audiobook version during numerous recent road trips and always eagerly anticipated what was coming next. Brilliant,brilliant, brilliant. Captivating, engaging, and soellbinding.
I can't say enough good things about this Atwood experience. Now I definitely want to discover more Atwood brilliance through her other books. No wonder she has won so many awards!

Great follow up to the Handmaid’s Tale
A dark dystopian tale about oppressed women. Not exactly light reading but so well written that you feel it’s worth the subject just for the elegance of Margaret Atwood’s prose. The narrator’s made the book come alive.

Amazing book
Very engaging and interesting book, enjoyed every minute of it. Definitely need to read the handmaid's tales first.

perfection!!
i was so excited to read this book after falling in love with the first one. The narration is excellent!!! Mayday operations and the fall of Gilliad (spelling? i havent actually read it, just listened) was described perfectly. no complaints at all. honestly, i didnt even know this was based on REAL EVENTS! I thought it was just a cool, fiction distopian novel. now i wanna listen again. lol

Fantastic storytelling
The narration is brilliant, Anne Dowd is an engaging, magnificent reader. I find the whole experience very visual and calming as well as emotionally terrifying given the subject matter. highly recommend.

Fantastic story, fantastic audio!
Love love love. Thank you Margaret Atwood for another amazing book. The story tellers were excellent. I didn’t want to get out of my car, so I could keep listening.

A much anticipated sequel!

Enjoyable listen.
I enjoyed listening to this book as somewhat of a conclusion to the Handmaids Tale. The performers were very good although Jade could be annoying sometimes but I think she was meant to be. Sadly the chapter indicators by Ms Atwood we’re not my favourite. I generally like her reading but those little intros were oddly distracting. Overall I would listen to it again.

Absolutely Grand!
Another Canadian who was handed a copy of Handmaid's Tale in high school. I was a reluctant reader of it then, but after rediscovering Atwood as an adult took to it with relish. Gilead and the world carved by Atwood had me in its' grip. The cast did amazing, the story is striking and a transfixing listen, and the Canadian in-jokes added all the more flavour.
