Falling in Love Based on Personality not Looks

The Blind Date has an interesting premise – a dating app with no pictures which forces the couple to get to know each other before looks become a factor in the decision. Riley is an on online influencer who markets her sunshine personality and Noah is the app’s creator who is a hard driven workaholic. They are a 96% match, which neither can walk away from, without exploring first. They text and message until they have to meet, only to find out that they already know each other – they are each other’s siblings’ best friends and they don’t particularly like each other.

This book had me laughing out loud and relistening to certain sweet parts to enjoy them a 2nd and 3rd time. It is sweet and realistic at the same time. One of my favourite tropes is brother’s best friend so this hit the spots. I really like the fact that the complications weren’t all one-sided, and the characters change in good ways from throughout the story – Noah’s development was amazing. This is one of those books that touches the heart, that you read on curled up on your favourite chair on a Saturday afternoon when you want a new book boyfriend. Noah is that. The ending was perfect and the fact that there is an epilogue is a bonus – and enjoyable one.

The narration wasn’t bad, it didn’t take anything away from the story for me, nor did it add anything to my experience.
